Happily1986 5th Gear October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 I suspect they may have something binding contract with Asus that prevent them from releasing on Android.. by releasing them on Androis they will be directly be competing with Asus-Garmin phone. Hmmm, that might just be the reason. ↡ Advertisement
Jchuacl Clutched October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 No. See the below news, they are working on it as partnership already terminated 1 year ago with Asus. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,23869...bid=NN3LwkPIbn4 Hmmm, that might just be the reason. Waze was the real pioneer in crowd sourcing traffic information.

But I think the way google implemented it is better. Now, just by looking at the map on familiar roads, can roughly tell whether the next junction is red or green light. Nzy Twincharged December 19, 2015 Share December 19, 2015 (edited) haha i fire up either. does google maps have alert like waze? like an accident just happened Nope. Google maps only tell you how the traffic is like. Doesn't tell you what causes the heavy traffic. And I set mine to always show the route with shortest travelling time so sometimes it will tell me, traffic is heavy but it is still the fastest route. Or not it will tell me it is a longer route but shortest travelling time due to traffic conditions. Edited December 19, 2015 by Nzy

The main thing is, the more people use Google map, the better Google map will be able to predict traffic with accuracy. So more Google map users, equal to benefit everyone who is commuting from point A to point B.
Acidz 1st Gear December 19, 2015 Share December 19, 2015 I like Galactio https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.galactio.mobile.sg. Traffic alert wise, Google/Waze should be more up-to-date. ↡ Advertisement
