I haven't I am quite impressed with the range of maps available. Whether all of them are very detailed, that i am not so sure. However i think it can be very useful as a backup if one is doing a walking tour in Europe and for some reason Google Maps c--k up.

Good to know that, thanks for commenting. I usually set the voiceover to the US (English) Female because i find it alot more clearer than the UK (English) one. How long does your GPS lock takes? Multi 3rd Gear October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 Can try Papago X5 for Android....but still prefer Garmin in my Garmin-Asus A10.
Happily1986 5th Gear October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 Can try Papago X5 for Android....but still prefer Garmin in my Garmin-Asus A10. Garmin is very very stupid to have not released any solution for the Android market. This is a huge market.

GPS lock sometimes almost immediately, some times a bit slow like 1-2 mins. i think it depends how many satellites are in the area if i am not wrong. I see. Yours should be good phone with good hardware lah. I am using the low end Galaxy Ace. I recently did some modifications that enabled me to achieve much better GPS locks. Last time i usually have to wait about 5 minutes on average.
Blackyv Turbocharged October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 Garmin is very very stupid to have not released any solution for the Android market. Happily1986 5th Gear October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 well, if they do, it's literally killing of their own garmin gps market... commit suicide mission.. Different platforms = different markets. Similar analogy will be gaming market. PC and Console gaming market. if you want to maximise profits, you should target both the PC and Console market right? Anyway the smartphone market is an exploding segment. Which is why Intel is aiming to take a crack at the SoC segment if not they will be in decline within 15 years. Ender Hypersonic October 28, 2011 Share October 28, 2011 Garmin is very very stupid to have not released any solution for the Android market. This is a huge market. I suspect they may have something binding contract with Asus that prevent them from releasing on Android.. by releasing them on Androis they will be directly be competing with Asus-Garmin phone. ↡ Advertisement
