SINGAPORE: Former Nominated Member of Parliament Viswa Sadasivan has confirmed that he would not be putting up his name again for the post in the new session of Singapore's Parliament.

 

Mr Viswa, well-known in media and communications circles is also vice president of the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA).

 

He confirmed his intention in an email to Channel NewsAsia.

 

Singapore's Parliament has formed a special Select Committee to scrutinise applications of interested Singaporeans to the post of Nominated MP.

 

Applications close on December 8.

 

Earlier, trade unionist Terry Lee also said he is not likely to seek re-nomination for the NMP post.

IIRC, this was practically the only guy to have had the guts to confront the old man in Parliament (once). Since JBJ, of course.

yup...i remember that eposide....it was after old man said some falutin comment and I am sure after the comment, go lim kopi.
