Eviltrap 2nd Gear November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 Hi guys, I only realised ths 2-3 days that my steering gives off some squeaking sound, maybe like rubber rubbing against rubber or something like that, when I move slowly in a car park. Most obvious will be when making turns because I'll be turning it more. Anyone knows what is the problem? Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement

Melvtan Neutral Newbie November 8, 2011 Share November 8, 2011 I had this sound on one side of my car a month ago as well. Jacked up the car as i planned to drive to kl and discovered that the rim on the front right had actually splitted and broke! As a result changed all 4 rims and might as well, a new set of tyres. If i didnt check before i drove up...... Do check your car!
Eviltrap 2nd Gear November 8, 2011 Author Share November 8, 2011 Hi guys, thanks for the replies! I hear the sound when I am turning my steering wheel. Meaning the sound I hear comes from the steering wheel itself. To be frank, I'm not sure whether it can be heard outside or not too, so I cannot rule out the tyres having a problem. Try greasing the turning knot below your streeling wheel.....
Eviltrap 2nd Gear November 10, 2011 Author Share November 10, 2011 Try greasing the turning knot below your streeling wheel..... Hi bro, how do I reach this turning knot below the steering wheel? It SEEMS to be all covered when I felt around it. Of course, I most likely would have missed it.
