I suggest you open up your amp to see the cable that is used to connect to the red and black speaker connector post.

Do the same for your speakers.

If both use good quality cables, then you should also invest in a good cable.

If what you see are just cheapo cables inside your amp and speakers......then those freebies speaker cables that comes with budget mini-compo system will be sufficient.

Speakers cables are over rated.

What you need to ensure is that the connector post are able to have a secure clamping on the bare wires to transmit the analog electric voltage from amp to speakers.

Hey bro rubberstamp,

Does your floorstanders allow bi-wire? Bi-wiring is best way to bring out the sonic qualities of your speakers.

Beldens r really stiff cables.... But they r quite transparent so they don't "cloud" your system. Plus they r inexpensive so it's quite good value for $$.

As Rex mentioned: Belden.

Belden is commonly used for industrial AV system, hence people trust that with heart. It is inexpensive as well.

LHS @ Sim Lim Tower - my company often bought drums of cables from them.. ranging from Cat 6 to AV system.

For 2 core -

Speaker cable Jacketed, zip, unjacketed plenum 12 AWG 8477, 9718, 1860A

For 4 core (allow you to do Bi-Amp) -

Bi-amp speaker cable Wiring dual-amplifier driven speakers 1810A

Consider both listening environment and AV equipment before getting the cables.

For an ordinary set up, normal OFC cables or even the red/black cables is good enough.

Save your money for something else
