"There is a backup system that will activate emergency lights within the carriages and provide ventilation for 45mins which are more than enough for the SMRT to respond." "SMRT will educate the public commuters on proper procedures to follow during an emergency" "We'll not hesitate to prosecute any individuals who vandalize and damage property belonging to SMRT." "SMRT beg to differ from commuters accusation that emergency lights wasn't turn on" "Should the 45mins expire, do not panic in the event of suffocation and darkness.
