Since we are on fermented plant matter, i would like to check with you if you know where to buy humidity beads, those re-usable kind.. Heartfelt RH beads, that kind.. I only have a box of D4s (gone thru a box of 10s already) and a cabinet of Partagas shorts, anda few tubos of P2. Am smoking a D4 now, even as i speak to u. I recently bought a single at a overseas casino, a Upmann royal robusto.. damn good, very smooth.. Being a noob, i didn't know it was an EL... otherwise i would have bought a few more... Welldone, and welcome to the world of cigar smoking upmann RR is not an EL per se actually. it's a regular production LCdH cigar specially sold at LCdH short for La Casa del Habanos which is the official cuban cigar shop. you can find it locally, i'm sure. \i've never smoked it but i like the big ring guage edmundo format. D4s are classic partagas. wont go wrong but in recent years the quality and flavors have really slacked Shorts are excellent and powerful. more powerful than the D4 but newbies dont know thinking that it's light just becos it's small shorts are my lunch smokes, in fact just had one today P2s are are a great choice. i had the pleasure of acquiring a box during its first launch in Switzerland. this is probably 7 - 8 yrs ago? I tried a few Montes that i bought while going on business trips... a bit bland and 'weak' for me... yup drop the Montes, production quality has dropped terribly since the early 2000s. i havent smoked a Monte2 for a very very long time. when someone recommends you monte or tells you monte is good , you know he is not a real cigar smoker. we used to procure aged cigars from around the world last time. mostly dated 1996 - 1998.
