Elfenstar 3rd Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 Let us hope that driver need not have to learn through repeated accidents, how to drive in an orderly manner. He knows lah. Can see from his style that he's pushing his luck and trying to scare people into getting that one vehicle ahead. ↡ Advertisement
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 Don't bluff You keep left because you've realised that its usually the fastest lane I like the way you present with the transparency
KARTer 2nd Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 For hypermiling practice on a level road, I would simply ease off the accelerator pedal at least 100metres (about 4 lamppost) away, preferably 200 metres away. but this way i may be hogging the lane.... how can!? KARTer 2nd Gear January 18, 2012 Share January 18, 2012 Don't bluff You keep left because you've realised that its usually the fastest lane i must admit on some roads the left most lane is the least congested.... but for me if it happens this way, it'll a added bonus i wont refuse it's free one, might as well take / use it

I find that whenever I use park connectors during peak hours, I actually get to my destinations faster than if I drove , and if I cycle on the roads, the extra time is marginal, e.g. home to cityhall is about 15/20mins by driving, takes me about 25/30mins when I cycle. Unless its work or I have to ferry my gf and/or her mother around, I now cycle

Only do that when no vehicle for at least 200 metres behind us (no vehicle behind us, no road hogging)

From work to home I can reach home faster by cycling because of the heavy traffic.

Whoever is ahead in those merging lanes has right of way. At the point of merging (where the white lines disappear), the one behind should always slow down a bit to make a way for the one ahead. Similarly the third car (behind the ahead one) should give way to second car and so on....

Quantum 5th Gear October 5, 2012 Share October 5, 2012 (edited) its a norm..happened too many times to even bother..the interesting stuff is that after the vehicle speed up to overtake..in front is either heavy traffic or jam..and that vehicle have to jam brake..this kind of crazy people aplenty these crazy nuts normally are newbie, once your dirving age above 10 years, you'll never care who is in fornt at this moment for me I always give way to these kind of nuts espceially thoes lorries, once enter expressway, slowly overtaking these lorries, enjoy the drivers' upset face Edited October 5, 2012 by Quantum
Steptronic Supercharged October 5, 2012 Share October 5, 2012 that is by right lah..but u know the cb drivers I guess our CB drivers think it is "merging cars" and not lanes. I have been practising positioning my car at centre in any oppotunity just before the actual merge.
