Celicar Turbocharged January 16, 2012 Share January 16, 2012 This morning saw a car at my MSCP being prepared to be towed away. Got a TP there as well. I was thinking it could be because of loan default, but if that is the case, how come a commercial situation between bank and borrower will involve TP? Like dat then using garmen resources for private entities and our TP will have even less time to patrol roads leh. Any other possibility? ↡ Advertisement
SimonTan 2nd Gear January 16, 2012 Share January 16, 2012 The default car owner purposely call police to try to delay and stop the repo man?? If paper works not proper....cannot anyhow tow as that might be considered as theft?
Shull Turbocharged January 16, 2012 Share January 16, 2012 Car never pay road tax, or involved in some crime.. so towed away (confiscated) by gahment.. Just my guess..
Chiawy 1st Gear January 16, 2012 Share January 16, 2012 Could the car be a stolen vehicle and TP there to assist the tow truck to tow it back to police station?

Celicar Turbocharged January 16, 2012 Author Share January 16, 2012 The car has been around my car park for a long time already, I've seen the owner a couple of times, not one of those cars that just appeared recently. The TP does not seem to be there to help the owner leh (who was btw nowhere to be seen) he seems to be there to jaga the towing operation.

Ghostrider 3rd Gear January 16, 2012 Share January 16, 2012 If its repo...the repo man can tow the car away first. They wil then go to the nearest Police station or post to make a report. They have authorised letter from the banks to repo the cars. Usually TP do not do rounding at carparks...could be a LTA enforment officer that you saw. Celicar Turbocharged January 16, 2012 Author Share January 16, 2012 if = immunity? lol No, I'm not saying I have immunity or anything of that sort. I'm saying that my last sentence is about the case or possibility I thought of - IF it was a loan default. Anyway, I never knew that never pay road tax can get car towed away, so I learn something.
