Super7 Turbocharged October 26, 2014 Share October 26, 2014 my experience, Own car want to easy pass inspection go STA. Wanna buy car and need a pre-check, go AA or own workshop. Last time my used car go STA, say everything ok, oil leak 2 weeks later A friend used AA which reported everything ok after pre purchase evaluation. 3 weeks later faults lights blinked non stop, repairs bills almost 2k, so even AA also bo bao :-( ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Why would u go for car inspection when ur road tax is not due??? There is validity time for the inspection, I think its valid within 3 or 6 months, cant remember. You might wanna check if their payment system accept it or not. Some system without any notice they can't scan in the outstanding amount, so won't accept your payment (even if you want to pay). I don't think you can renew without passing inspection first. Anyway, my van is inspected every 6 ridiculous month, before I pay for insurance and road tax. oleandero 5th Gear February 9, 2015 Share February 9, 2015 okay.. scenario is like this.. i received notice to bring vehicle for inspection before road tax expires on 7 Apr. i intend to go for the inspection and get certified. then here comes the question, can i renew my road tax after passing the inspection (without road tax renewal notice) OR should i wait for road tax renewal notice to come then do inspection and renew road tax at inspection centre OR complete inspection then wait for the notice to come then renew online. hope its clearer now You might wanna check if their payment system accept it or not. I think this system is linked to LTA. Also without the road tax notice, how the cashier able to stamp/print the payment proof on the road tax disc ?? All they do is use a black marker and ruler to cross out the date u did not pay for. Either 6 months time date or 1 year time date. Can i just take out without replacing original bulbs ? 2) Original yellow fog light but i change to 6K HID 3) Rear white bulbs for license plate 4) White reverse light Sorry for being a noob... flashbang Turbocharged February 9, 2015 Share February 9, 2015 You can go for inspection first, then renew road tax later. Once you pass inspection it will be updated into the LTA system, next time when you go online to renew road tax you will be able to.
