I always think this is how policy works in sg. When they increase the number of cars or people, they dont see it will affect or have side effect in the future. When they increase the number of cars or people, they dont see it will affect or have side effect in the future. Only when the future comes, and affecting the daily operation and life, then they start to reduce by implementing all sort of measurement! This is what I think also... Not enough flats? Just bear with it for the next 5 years... we will start building more flats immediately. Bus and MRT too crowded? Just bear with it for the time being. We will buy more trains. Got one more. Singaporean register Malaysian car. Pay $30 (custom fee)and $5 (flat rate erp)each day. And drive in singapore. Please don't flame me. I read from Sammyboy alfresco forum. Bro, you'd only need to live in Oz for 6 mths to a year, before you realize that you are a 2nd class citizen. Locals there may (initially) sometimes treat you like they do the PRCs, on opening liners ... cod they cannot tell the difference. Then there are the other migrants, Eastern Europeans, Indians, Pakis, who think they are one up on you. Then of course there are the Chinanese and Indochinese, who see you as their direct competitors - they also treat ang moh tua kee there too! It's a real mad house down there.
