  5. Last weekend saw a gathering of some very lovely cars at Dempsey. Called Cars and Kopi, the meet up attracted many car owners turned up in their pristine and well groomed cars. While it wasn't the largest turnout this time round, there was still a good showing of interesting stuff. For those who couldn't make it for the meet, check out what came!

  9. It seems like McDonald’s is indefatigable when it comes to releasing new items, considering past reception. Chocolate pie The fast food giant has announced that it will be selling the much-hyped chocolate pies in Singapore starting March 1, 2018. Singaporeans have long heard of this menu item, which was previously only available in countries such as Korea, Japan and Bangkok. In other news, McDonald’s Singapore will also be releasing Fish & Fries, as well a Sweet Chilli Fish Burger on the same date. https://mothership.sg/2018/02/mcdonalds-singapore-chocolate-pie-fish-and-fries/ Looks good! Anyone tried before?!
  10. Am sure many watch MCM. But their latest full-length feature is on a totally different level and really needs to be shared. Truly epic and I think rivals the top automotive shows currently available imo. Amazing work for hobbyist. These guys need to be on The Grand Tour. Part 1: Part 2:

  14. OK, finally get to re sort the data in new format (the one I posted last round have many field showing ###### due to wrong font size and column width, and resolution not clear enough as well) Good luck to all vested. The details of the March 2018 first open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows: Tender opens: Monday, 5 March 2018, 12 noon Tender closes: Wednesday, 7 March 2018, 4.00 pm Tender results: Wednesday, 7 March 2018 (Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website) The total quota available for this tender is 4,316 for the following vehicle categories: NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES: Category A: Cars (up to 1600cc & 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,580 Category B: Cars (above 1600cc or 97kW (130bhp)) => 1,390 Category D: Motorcycles => 528 TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES: Category C: Goods Vehicles and Buses => 247 Category E: Open Category => 571 During the bidding exercise, bidders can check on the status of their bids and revise their reserve price using these banks’ services or the LTA Open Bidding website (https://ocoe.lta.gov.sg).
  15. 'HONG BAO' draw $12million "HUAT AHhhhhhhh....."
  16. Dear All, saw on the ad, both cars got my attention. I am thinking of getting a short term cars to tight over my sales business. Just started my business with my partner. So, we do not wish to fork out too much on car, but car is essential for me. Not considering van for now. Auto short term drive would be ideal, anything that is over 1.5 years would be good as once business stablized or doing better, will opt to upgrade and change to better or newer car. ** i am trading in my proton savvy 5month left car, with2.7 Scarp value plus abit on body. and i do not intend to throw in alot of down payment. max is use my trade in value to offset a little bit. Nissan March, 1.4C Auto. 2004. COE expired 2019 oct? selling 15800, Nissan Sunny, 1.6 Auto, 2006, COE expired May 2021, about 21800-22800 Which one is more ideal? heard sunny is very high FC? how about march? good for short term drive? and if mid way i wana sell off this car, to upgrade, what are the implication and things that i will foresee?
  17. Singapore's jobless rate rises to 2.1% in March By Qiuyi Tan | Posted: 30 April 2012 1014 hrs
  18. Now that COE threads are not eligible for the top thread, no one wants to begin the next one The second bid in March is on 29 Mar 2017. Some useful links: Where to check for COE results: https://www.mytransport.sg/oneMotoring/coeDetails.html Past results for 2017 https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/dam/ltaweb/corp/PublicationsResearch/files/FactsandFigures/COE_Result_2015_2017.pdf How to bid https://www.onemotoring.com.sg/content/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/buy_a_new_vehicle/bid_coe.html COE trends: http://coe.sgcharts.com/ What's my prediction? Both Cat and B will hover around 50k, plus minus 5k Why? Well there's a lot of demand, and this pent up demand, due to the decreasing quota, the impeding tax change, and many new facelifts this year will ensure the COE stays at the current levels. So let the discussions begin
  19. There I say all high Pb coming I also recommend ALL coe related threads like this be DISQUALIFIED from thread of the month! Ridiculous to be giving vouchers for the same damn thing 9 months in succession

  21. Somehow, NIssan March is the default choice of mine for compact hatch (except the current K13 model, which look kind of ugly). I have high hope for this coming soon soon model. Does it not look like a mini Qashqai from far?
