if your car works well and runs fine, why change it?

 

a 2nd hand car might have serious damage left over from its previous owner, would you be able to accept the risk?

imagine if your 2nd hand car's gearbox is faulty and they replaced with 1 from the scrapyard, the gearbox might work well now but will fail again within a year or 2, would it be a wise choice to change still if the car would eventually cost 3 - 4k more?

 

i think unless you really need the advantage a different provides, don't stomach the additional risk

i am driving a swift 1.3 now.. brought first hand 4.5yrs back.. started to do abit here and there..mini mods to the car.. but am tired of such effort already.. old liao.. so was thinking of changing to a more relax comfy car..

 

had the intention to change car but was really tied down previously due to the low resale price and such.. (Cant break even) i change car is due to "I want to change" mindset. not change to save $$ this and tat so the continue driving factor is actually out for me. Cos i cannot drive in fear anymore.. lol... old already..

budget i think is about 40+ for a 5-6 year old car bah..

 

if wan drive stock car..latio to me is the best choice..my bro used to drive a latio too..told me the forum hardly active for mods..so if u realli intend to drive a stock car with comfort and spacious, latio is good..dun haf much posion to tempt you too haha

 

vios and mazda 3 a higher chance to get posion to me..but i heard mazda 3 FC is really jiat lat too..

coe high so break even - also means 2nd car now paper value low but selling you at high price cos now all price went up. so you buy a 2nd car, and if is like what you said 3 years down the road coe drop and whole world flock to buy new car and maybe you wanna too. but holding on to a 2nd car that can't fetch a good price cos all 2nd car price drop. and so if you die die wanna change new car, new car loan - low resale 2nd =?

 

don change la even if your swift dirt cheap monthly is $450 1 year is $5400 3 year is $16200 liao. take a new loan now with those 2nd car and sell again 3years later. you think you can save more then $16200?

Agreed, latio seems to be not a bad car. Whether it is sedan or hatch version. If not altis should be a safe buy too.

check for accidents prone areas monet, engine area, boot, under exhaust before committing!!

It is scary yes. but check on the linings for easy knowing of the condition of the car.

 

Used car can be a good deal if u know how to vet it.

 

If u blindly follow the price, GG to you.

Stock car, i will vote for latio..comfort, quiet, spacious and good fc..got hatch back version for more sporty look too..

premium is with CVT but the not premium version is normal 4AT gearbox..

 

so far my bro drove his 06 latio (4AT) clocking 180k no issue...but CVT version i not sure le..

I'm not sure about the non premium version but my friend's CVT gearbox keeps failing despite several repairs.
