I have the Philips

Not very expensive, somewhere round S$80+. The inner core needs to be kept in teh freezer for like 8-10hrs before you can use it,

very good, I don't take the oice cream, make it for guest and my family to add with coffee, affogato.

I have the same one. Used to churn out about 2 batches per week until the core leaked the solution inside, and didn't have time to buy the replacement core.

Been eating self-made ice cream together with the caveman diet, luckily it didn't reverse the weight loss process. [:p] Zero-sugar green-tea ice cream anyone?

Caveman diet you can makan ice cream? I don't even touch. Milk isn't one of my primal foods....meats and more meats,

and natural fats. If too much coffee beans, I will make Mocca ice cream or whatever comes to mind. Still never touch.

Kept on releasing the air bubble inside until the valve mechanism broke. [:p]

Yeah, I am a silent reader in the "Exercise without a gym" thread, been eating in a similar way since early 2010. Only indulgence is ice cream, which I make with about half the recommended sugar level. Beats consuming high fructose corn syrup in normal ice cream anytime.

So not zero carbs, still got sugar. Still better then nothing, if you started on complete zero, well, very very low to some, (minute traces of carbs, if wanna be anal) you'll hit ketosis within the 3-4th day. That said, try and go off the sugar part, milk itself already has "sugar".

Well, the change was drastic enough for me. I set off with the aim of losing fat and inches off my waist, as the 2 years prior to that I have been loading on carbs due to bad eating habits and long work hours. Within the first 2 months I remembered I lost around 4kgs, by year end I was down by 10kg.

These days my carb intake is roughly 20% of my diet, and still maintaining at about 14% body fat (if my weighing scale is to be trusted).

But because my ice cream maker core broke, I haven't made ice cream for the past half year, CO complaining already. [:p]

Checked with Philips Singapore. Replacement is $50, but the whole machine only cost $92 when I bought it, more than half the price of the machine.

Quite tough leh. I tried making one batch of zero-sugar green tea ice cream, everyone avoided it like the plague. [laugh]

Hanpaupau, how can you cut all sugars and yet here provocatively speak of making ice cream?

A bit off the edge don't you think so?
