I believe TS did identify that taxi driver to be driving in disorderly manner, so we should appreciate his efforts not just pick on his driving skill only

Uh...

I don't agree with what you say.

Defensive driving is never been an overhype. That has kept me accident free for 15 years, and uses the horn less than 3 times a year.

And for such a cabbie move, it wouldn't even bother me one bit.

Seriously, some of you need to go for anger management course.

It will be great if we have more drivers with your attitude on the road. [thumbsup]

Sadly, that is not the case. I am trying to look at the video objectively and giving TS a fair assessment based on a reasonable scenario. ^_^

The root of the issue is, I don't even think that the cab driver did a dangerous move. Broke driving rules yes, but dangerous, NO.

If that is dangerous driving to some of you, then you shouldn't be driving on the road. Go book a kart and drive in the karting range.

The cab driver was signalling a distance away. In what way was that dangerous??? A good driver would have spotted that signal and slowed down for the cab to turn in.

Not that I like cab driver either, but we have to be reasonable. The cab passenger could have given instruction last minute, but at least the cabbie was responsible to watch his distance, signal and then turn in.

So, does that warrant a big woo-haa to the point of breaking someone's rice bowl?

To be frank, assuming I was the driver, and the accident really took place because of the cab. I wouldn't blame the cabbie. I would blame myself for not spotting his signal. He may have broke the rule, but it was my carelessness to miss his signal.

But that's just me. And I know guys like me are rare anyway.

Everyone has different standard of what dangerous driving is, so let the enforcement department to decide whether to take action or not.

For me is simple, I will not let my kindness to blind me not to report when I really encounter a driver who drives dangerously and showing no apologies on the roads as I do not wish other road users to be killed by that irresponsible driver.
