i thought should still have airbags deployed no matter what?

no?

I don't think our taxi operators are that food to bring in models with side curtain air bags. They only good for jumping in and raising cat A coe prices. In any case, the force of this impact, I doubt curtain air bags would do much to save the female cab passenger..

Damn that Ferrari driver ...... I was about 50m away from that accident area just outside 24 hrs Burger King driving towards ICA direction. That speed he's travelling can kill many if it's in peak hrs!!!!! If I'm to drive slightly faster, I might be the one seeing my maker now!!!!!

It's like a war zone when all vehicles collided sending the Ferrari into the bicycle parking area area jus beside the MRT underpass entrance/exit.

You are a potential witness. Should contact TP to provide leads for them

i don't think in peak hour, the Ferrari driver would drive at that speed. u simply can't with that traffic. some folks think a clear road is also a clear TRACK.

The FT comments are uncalled for here. [thumbsdown] Home-grown Singaporeans have caused worse accidents. This is still a tragedy, no matter which nationalities are involved.

+1

Some of the comments on the 1st 2 pages infact are terrible. I'm not condoning speeding or a somewhat skewed residency policy, and I'm not so clean that I can judge the morals of someone. Why insinuate that a young girl travelling by taxi has to be a hooker? Even if she is... does it matter?

And some of the forummers celebrating a death just cos he happened to be an FT.... really petty and spiteful.

In view of the various comments that were uncalled for, this thread is now closed! I agree with Hashim that uncalled for remarks marred this otherwise harmless thread

RIP to the deceased
