High omv could be due to high material cost or that Hyundai is incuring high cost to mod LHD Azera to RHD , and due to projected limited sales, the cost/omv has to be inflated. Since the Azera years korea Won has inflated and building know how has improved, omv has lessen much since. Like crown and legend, flagship cars are not volume makers but more of a statement of how far their brand quality and tech has improved.

I sat in an equus in Seoul before. really luxury and it's probably close to sitting in an S Class. It's commonly used as a limo for hotel pickups.
