Ericongy 3rd Gear June 5, 2012 Share June 5, 2012 (edited) Bridgestone Turanza ER300 15" Tyres at $99 each... I am not too sure, but it seems like a good deal to me. Most, if not all others are selling @ $125 Just changed to the above-mentioned rubbers last friday Services at the WS consider above average, so had mine 60k servicing done with them as well... lazy to find another WS. Ericongy 3rd Gear June 6, 2012 Author Share June 6, 2012 Any idea when is this promo ending? Apparently, the guy did not mentioned whether its a promotion or not, so i guess they are selling at that price for their current stock.. Dun worry if they are clearing old stocks or not... as that was my initial worry as well... so i chk all the 4 tyres they unwrapped for my wheels and noted that they are all dated 0612. i suppose this is a good deal as the other tyres i am looking at, KU31 are selling between $90-$95 at most places. so by paying less den 10bucks more per rubber, i am getting much more value in a euro made bridgestone. Ericongy 3rd Gear June 6, 2012 Author Share June 6, 2012 Good buy cos it's a B'S. But the grip is pale when compare to 31 But its quiet though.... I had read some review on the ER300 and the comments vary widely, some say excellent grip, excellent wear and blah blah etc.. but some other had a direct opposite opinions and say its a crappy rubber... However, i noted a few commented that these tyres have soft sidewall which means lousy in cornering... i suppose i have to be more careful when entering corners these days and may have to change my brake pads sooner den my last pair which lasted almost 3 years. i have only travel short distant since i made the change and the only comment i have is that its quiet (some say the quietness only last for 20,000km) and rolling distant is better compared to my previous C Drive (due to lousy grip?) I also noted that my steering wheel became significant lighter.. but i am not sure if this is a good thing or not.. maybe someone can enlighten me? Ericongy 3rd Gear June 6, 2012 Author Share June 6, 2012 Not make in Eur. make in msia ermm... its printed on the tyres "Made in France"...but if i am correct, this may not necessary be an advantage. i have no doubt that European products do use better raw materials, but i understood that some tyres are deliberately developed in asia (especially SEA) so that they better suits our weather conditions. as such, some aisan made tyres are possibly better when compared to european made. Hamburger Hypersonic June 6, 2012 Share June 6, 2012 my comment is base on the tyre on cornering grip. Indeed the side wall is soft + the grip is poor for a tyre that roll out from BS. quite disappointed ....

Just make sure the tyres are not more than 3 years old (preferably 6mths to 2 years old) and the country of manufacture is correct, coz when i bought my previous tyres Yoko C Drive, the ones made in SEA (Philippines, if i remember correctly) was significantly cheaper den the ones made in japan. ↡ Advertisement
