Unhappy over pay revisions, 22 foreign bus captains from Bedok and Jurong East have tendered their resignations. According to revelations from an insider, local bus captains had a pay raise of $225 while foreigners recieved $70-150. Foreign drivers are unfamiliar with local roads and therefore face comparatively more stress. These factors and the lower wage increment gave the drivers the idea of leaving.

Lucky they just resigned and not venting their unhappiness by driving the bus over other road users....

Apparently the total number of discontents is 40 but only 22 have resigned so far.

i also think they quite reckless leh.....

last time bus driver will wait for lane to clear before they come out from bus stop, now they si beh hiong, head chut first den say...

but den again, now a days traffic different from last time, if they wait until lane clear, the will take 2 days for a single trip...

i read it from somewhere (could be MCF) that they are train to be hiong now a days, if not cannot meet schedule...

These FT drivers give reasons that as a FT, they are unfamiliar with local roads. I think this is very lame excuse lo. I believe even some locals might also unfamiliar with local roads.

 

So the bus company didnt retain these FT drivers?!

it will not be good n i am sure they will surely have something waiting for them.

i think the only ppl (sg/pr) that will is not happy to see them go.. are their landlord.
