Idaddy88 Clutched June 27, 2012 Share June 27, 2012 Hi Bros, I was told by a sales agent that you can't sell your car within six months of purchase. Can I find out if it's true? Thanks in advance. ↡ Advertisement

Steptronic Supercharged June 27, 2012 Share June 27, 2012 Hi Bros, I was told by a sales agent that you can't sell your car within six months of purchase. Can I find out if it's true? Thanks in advance. There is definitely some restriction in selling a brand new car. I think RadX brother is right on 6 months. Try to find out the transfer fee from the following LTA link. If you are able to get an answer, car can most probably be sold. https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfu...uireTransferFee
Iisterry 3rd Gear June 27, 2012 Share June 27, 2012 Semi true. Before 3 months, no transfer is allowed. You can sell, but the "ownership title" can't be transferred. After 3 months & before 6 months, you can sell and transfer. But if the PQP of the respective category is greater than the amount you paid for the COE, you incur additional transfer fee levy for the difference. It is meant to deter speculation from the older days.
Colin03 4th Gear June 27, 2012 Share June 27, 2012 You might want to advise what car model and reason of salling ? New buyer might be able to compromise if the price is right.
