Get a Action Camera like SJCam or GoPRO...they all have Car Functions like loop recording, motion detection.

SJCam are all less than $200 with Full HD and 60fps, and very small...yet dual function as a regular camera or camcorder when you want to use it.

Why spend so much money when nobody going to give you back any...insurance company will give you some discount so long you have a front camera...no need to spend big bucks on one...just my opinion... :a-panic:

Any mount for the SJ you would recommend?

thanks. Already done so but as usual, they ask me to bring down for them to check. If need to take leave to visit them which is so far from my area, I rather buy a new one. A 1 day leave is more than the cost of the camera.

Was hoping that someone has encountered such issue before and know the solution.

I used a blackvue camera DR500GW befor, but muved to Innolife one because it was broken.

DR500GW (http://www.sgcarmart.com/products/overview.php?ID=6375)

Innolife (http://shop.carro.sg/products/innolife-new-full-hd-1080p-operating-at-1920-1080-30-fps-car-dashboard-video-camera-dashcam-black)

Now technology has made progress and I think reasonable cameras work well enough now.

So I do not think we have to expensive, a high qualified camera...

I use camera by InnoLife.

The price is not expensive but function is enough.

how itronic 1tb100? good for hot weather or same issue as the rest.

Some recommended getting the Safevue which cost $60 in Lazada and $66 at Q10. Cheap yet quality video for day and night.

budget is still the key, for a better and durable model and brand. price abit steep still ok but read so many issue with the blackvue & iroad, thinking of just getting the safevue to try out 1st.

Keep posted with your experience and reviews. Newbie to cam cos dnt wnt to fix one then kanna hit and run right at my hdb carpark. thinking to wifi my windows with cam to lock at the place where I usually park to irresponsible drivers.

Just bought a Xiaoyi car dvr (new product from Xiaomi) from taobao, cost about 80 plus. You can find similar ones from qoo10 for about 90 plus. The video quality is pretty good in both day and night, much better than my previous DVR (Anyview si400) which is not working anymore.

Note that the Xiaoyi DVR does not have motion detection, so cannot record video footage in parking mode, unless you keep it powered via your car battery or powerbank.
