Be careful when you use Celink as it need modification to your car circuit which if is a new car can void warranty. My dad just buy a new Lexus and the AD refuse to install camera for him as they said such modification burn away the car computer board and I also hear something happen to a BMW using Celink.

This can only happen if it is due to poor workmanship or improper installation.

Though the chances are few and rare, the low possibility remains there.

AD said they installed it and it damaged their vehicle so they do not want to do it anymore. The user have to paid a few thousand to repair the computer board. Who know better then the AD on their car, poor workmanship I don't think so.

Most likely installed improperly. The electrical tapping have to be done spot on failing which it can fry the onboard system. A lot of ADs workshop do not frequently install external accessories n thus they often admit themselves, outside accessories installer can better do the job. Moral of the story, only very good n experience electrical foreman should handle it.

If AD said don't do it and you go outside to do it then is your own risk loh... Go do some home work before doing it... if a new car warranty get void then not worth liao. Bear in mind, anything goes wrong with your new car, the AD if they see the mod will sure blame it (as you said they may not be good in their car) and they will start changing everything to fix it so repair cost will be high. Worse still, the outside installer will tell you that your AD is talking rubbish and they do not want to responsible. So the moral of the story, you have to eat yourself as no side want to responsible. I saw too many such cases liao, seeing customer ague with the workshop manager over who fault end up suffer left and right.

Agree that risk need to be managed. Like everything else. There will not be any AD that will say explicitly in black n white you cannot install a dash cam. They will only say in broad terms not to do anything that put the warranty at risk. What is that leh? They cannot say n won't say. Bottom line is know wat m how you are installing. Everything else have to be within reasons in discussing with AD workshop. I have seen a lot and involved in a couple myself. They say my mod cause it, I ask them how? Most of the time, they give u the stunned like vegetable look if they using scare tactics.

Neutral Newbie

But this camera's original price is $109.00, I found it can use the code to buy at $86.99. So I ask if someone used it? Is it good?

Turbocharged

So I've now had some experience myself with the PLK Roadscope series OPTIAN I mentioned previously.

Yet to review footage quality, but I gotta admit, the ADAS features all work. Even if the lane departure warning is annoying.

Plan to install a blackvue car cam as well but also scared that Mazda void my new car warranty.

Bro, I believe your new car should come with USB port. You can try Inspirland i66A camera which can use mini USB power cable to run it from the USB port so that no warranty will be void and cable can be hide.. Blackvue you will need to use the lighter port but it will not look nice. If you interested, can go Stamford tyre to check out this camera or URL: www.inspirland.com. Camera have good specification and it is clear for night and day.

Anyone has any experience with the Thinkware F750?

Based on the sgcarmart reviews for F550, it seems like the camera will auto-shutdown in parking mode after about 3 - 5 hours, a few months after installation (which happens to be what my Itronics camera is doing now).

But it seems to have features like speed/red light camera warnings, which is very useful.

So a few questions:

1) Any overheating issues?

2) How accurate and updated are the speed/red light camera warnings? Anyone knows how they know where the cameras are?

3) Is there a need to use Power Magic as well to avoid draining the car battery?

Thanks in advance.
