1) don't polticise the issue: MP also need to have day job. And a lawyer's job sometimes include defending "bad people". This protecting bad people is not something lawyers enjoy doing. In fact they often have haunted by guilt but no chocie they have to be professional. One of my lawyer friends had to defend a murderer and he felt so terrible, haunted in his dreams, go drinking to forget his guilt, etc. But it is a "check and balance" to ensure that law enforcement officers do not go overboard. If nobody defend "bad people" then authorities can anyhow catch people and throw them in jail without trial. Is that what you want?

2) if these ppl so stupid as to give their hard earned money (since they believe their reward is in "heaven") then that's their problem right?

Though I know where you're coming from, I still don't buy it. Don't tell me this mp so gian png that that he must take this case meh? If he personally feel that it is against his principle, no one can compel him to take up tge cade. Similarly, some doctors will never want to perform abortion due to moral issue.

Now we have these prosperity churches.

Give me your money and God will be happy with you and you can go to heaven

Or give me your money and God will give you more.

10 times more, 100 times more whatever.

 

Its easy to critise them but know that they are not the first,

won't be the last and they are really not original.

Unlike the original sin, now thats original.

When a pastor tells u something, reference the Bible... Ask him .. "chapter and verse"? Where does it say i give more God gives me the COE to heaven?

For those who preach prosperity gospel, they will never quote verses from Jesus' teachings about the rich young ruler asking Him how to get to heaven/have eternal life.

I have never seen a camel go thru the eye of a needle,

its impossible.

 

Lucky for me I owe the banks thousands of dollars.

I am not only poor, I badly in debt!

 

However I asked my friend what's it like in heaven.

She said in heaven the lion lay beside the lamb.

So we cannot eat meat and just eat vegetables.

 

Then every days is like being in church, just praying and singing

and listening to sermon like what the pastors keep talking and talking.

 

I thot thats really boring, I don't think I can stand that 7 days a week!

 

If heaven is not about arcade games and hamburgers and hotdogs and exciting adult videos

with interactive user participation then I dont wanna go!

No use. At the end of the day, any person standing trial has the right to counsel. Even if noone come forward to offer their litigation services, the COurt will auto appoint one for each of them.

It is not up to the lawyer to pass judgement on the defendant.Only if the defendant admits his guilt to you, then you choose if you still want to continue representation.

 

If every lawyer behaves in the manner you consider moral, who is going to help those wrongly accused that have evidence stacked against them ?
