hey... duno how many of you heard about this thing... last time I buy a lot during late 80s to early 90s... now want to sell off.. of course i know nobody wants or collect them anymore. but any of you knows where to sell them at higher than face value of the stamps?

wah................being a long long time since i heard about first day cover liao................used to buy in the early 80s'.............

 

maybe can try ebay.........or some stamp collection website...... :D :D :D

I started early 80s and still collecting under SODA plan. No appreciation in value expected.

I know no appreciation expected.. but you know where to sell them? even at a slight loss?

first day cover are whenever there were new series launch, they sell the booklet of all the stamps right?

 

yup... they paste all the same series on a special envelope with the same theme... then chop all the stamps with a matching chop...

Think back I feel it's a waste of money.... No value whatsoever now...

 

 

take hundred years to see the value appreciate lah :D

sometimes got uncle sell misc stuff at roadside.. i saw one selling firstday covers. I ask if he want to buy, his answer was "if late 80s onwards I not interested"

Most so called collectibles don't really have value when you really need to get rid of them, including paintings, gold coins etc unless they are very rare. You will be surprised that whatever old stamps, coins or notes that you have, others have more of what you have and in mint conditions for sale.

Problem is Singapore market is very very only how many million people are there in Singapore

How much are you expecting for your collection

Why don't you list them here

problem solved. I emailed the biggest pjilatelic shop in singapore and they say they do buy. this weekend i happen to be in the area will show them to evaluate. i jus did spring cleaning and found a whole box... no interest in them anymore and no really something i can show my grandchild and tell them... "see grandpa last time collect all these first day covers..."...
