If you seldom use it in Singapore, but frequently use it in Malaysia, you should go for Marbella running Papago software.

I personally find Papago much better than Garmin & Galatio. Moreover, Marbella is way cheaper than Garmin & slightly cheaper than Holux.

this M brand do not buy. google for it and you can find lots of bad reviews. get a garmin

Do they still sell 2465 and at what price ?

I believe the 2465 is still selling but why not settle for the 2465LM with life-time free map support. Not sure about the price but you can check out at the latest IT show.

Life time maps not necessary cos can get from Malfreemaps. The price is the issue. Previoulsy

like you, got the Garmin 610 at $ 800 plus. It is still functioning though.

You can go to PW at level 1 SLS as I believe they still carry this model and look for the boss, Mr. Yan.

Garmin is best if you travel overseas, cos of their map support.

However, a gps is only as good as the map inside. So far Malfreemaps supports Garmin/Galactio/Papago.

For those who didn't know, a few years ago Malsingmap's mapper quit to form Malfreemaps because of some dispute. Many people and contributors flock to Malfreemaps after that. A while later, they found new Malsingmaps updates stealing from Malfreemaps, exposed because they forgot to remove some watermark. Exact details read from their forums. From then on, I support Malfreemaps, and meanwhile, Malsingmaps got support from Garmin as their official map and remain popular.

I had a Garmin Nuvi and the biggest complain is the search function which take ages to find anything. However, it's user-friendliness is 2nd to none.

Currently using Holux Galactio and the search is immediate, letter by letter. Galactio software is made locally and every update made it much better. Furthermore, with a low cost price I got everything a GPS can have (well, almost). Lane assist, junction view, live traffic updates, smart routing based on current traffic, sexy voice by Yasminne, parking rates, live parking space left, ERP route cost... etc etc.

Am using the Garmin 2565. It has the voice command and pretty useful especially if you are on the expressway and need to access the menu on the GPS. Default command is " voice command " but you can customised to anything you like. So far, i think its much better than the iphone SIRI

Parrot voice command also very useful for your music and radio stations . On top of that it comes with a dual mic to ensure most of your calls are crystal clear

I had a garmin GPS. But long time nvr use it. If locally, i will just use my S3 to navigate map. If malaysia, use garmin GPS. It is matter of time, standalone GPS will be obsolete.

Same here, was using a standalone GPS. After the map update for my standalone GPS is not supported anymore, I scout around for GPS apps for my phone and then my standalone GPS is history.

1) Windows Mobile 6.5 on my HTC Touch 2 - Garmin Mobile with Malfreemaps (not using anymore)

2) Android 4.0.4 on my Ino One - Waze, love the graphic, route update and information screen when stopping at traffic

3) Android 4.0.4 on my Ino One - Sygic, only use it when travelling to Malaysia when I turn of data roaming
