Eyke Supercharged July 7, 2017 Share July 7, 2017 (edited) need urgent advice, guys: placed a deposit for a Boxster but subject to "workshop evaluation. No major accident. No major engine, gearbox problem", then suddenly they call me up say it leaked a big puddle of ATF and they have sent to a workshop which quoted $4-5K repair, which they DO NOT wish to pay for. now they say want to forget about the deal and refund me my deposit, even after I said since they have sold the car to me, then they should be responsible to rectify the problem (under Lemon Law). but they insist, car not transferred yet, so no deal, and also, they can break contract via the subject to no major gearbox problem clause. so what should i do ah? thanks a lot in advance. Cook123 Supercharged July 7, 2017 Share July 7, 2017 IMO they do have a point. Unless u really must have that car, do consider that the ATF leak may not be the only problem, albeit it's the one which is obvious now. So imo just take back the deposit and look for another one

Unless u really must have that car, do consider that the ATF leak may not be the only problem, albeit it's the one which is obvious now. So imo just take back the deposit and look for another one that's assuming there really is a bad leak and not a case of they getting a higher offer after selling to me, thus wanna break deal to make more money. after agreeing to the deal, i went down to place deposit, only to discover the car being test driven by other prospective buyers... Throttle2 Supersonic July 8, 2017 Author Share July 8, 2017 (edited) My Mercy doesn't ride like a Mercy leh, even in Comfort. Slightly stiffer than my F430 and much stiffer than my 911. My neck and back not very happy with me. Luckily the more important parts of me are happy enough to make up for it. You ask for it mah.you always like that ☝️ Edited July 8, 2017 by Throttle2

Official or verbal only? If it's official, they should refund you 2x deposit for backing out. If based on words, then take back your deposit and move on lah... don't waste time. Would be helpful to share what you are looking for - straight line speed, handling, comfort, reliability, practicality (human seating and luggage), moddability, maintenance costs and expertise, etc. etc. etc. Also, better to put this in the main Conti thread rather than in this Porsche thread. Posting it here might be taken to mean you've already more or less made up your mind.
