Trading off my F10. Ours is a small family - Macan will just do. Wanted to buy 911, but too much blow. So, selected poors' 911.

 

718 has different driving characteristic as compared to 911.  So, it is not really poor's 911

I drove the previous 987 vs y 997.

987 very easy to drive hard.

I think very good for girls.

I dont mean to say that men driving Cayman are girls though.

Cayman/Boxster is mid engine.  That's why it is easier to drive.

Driving the 987, was not as fun.

Ok may not be fair to say that becos it has less power and torque

 

I just belong to the camp that believes in feel and soul more than anything else when it comes to such things.

 

Thats why i like vintage Rolexes too

They do not "sound" good for sure because of 4 cylinders. But pickup is great. DO not comment further as I am waiting for my Cay in a month's time 

 

How long have you been waiting? i got the cayman S model and have been waiting a long time as well(7 months as of now). Was quite blown away from the test drive(absolutely loved it). I also much prefer turbocharged motors over NA ones.

As usual no indication of delivery on the sales deed.

How long have you been waiting? i got the cayman S model and have been waiting a long time as well(7 months as of now). Was quite blown away from the test drive(absolutely loved it). I also much prefer turbocharged motors over NA ones.

On a serious note.  My hiadee has a decision problem : to get a Macan Turbo or ga BMW M4 Competition Package.

 

Wife wants Macan Turbo, he wants M4.  Now there is a family fight but not as serious as the Oxley Road one.

 

Hiadees and Hiabuays, pls help my this hiadee.  I say get both kena F-ed by him.

Yeah many reviews already say that its overall a better car than its big brother.

 

 

No dispute. mid engine, RWD is the perfect "driver's car" formula.

 

But - and I don't have to tell you this - but there is something magical about having a 911. Any sort, really, that's just like talking about which level of Porsche-heaven one is in. Porsche *is* the 911, and the 911 *is* Porsche.

 

I have a hankering to (at some point) get an air cooled manual 911, preferably turbo. Hopefully, Andy will still be around to take care of the car - he specialises in air cooled. See what the future brings.

Both different ball game I guess. In my opinion, for Singapore, "S" will do. By the way, Porsche's event cars are not that "cheaper". For that type of money, I would go for a tailor made S.

hiadee showed me the base Macan features list from Porsche Centre.  its really a base model with pretty much nothing inside the car.  IMO not worth the money.

Not sure what you expected. Not much difference between Base and S in terms of what you are looking "inside". But S exhaust note is damn good and this takes away the game.
