If hit never stop to access the damage or if anyone is injuried and leave the scene, it can be classified 'hit & run'. Do a reporting first with police report. Still got chance to claim the bugger.

Of course say no. First reaction is deny everything. So go make a police report and then down to the company to bang table. If they want to deny, show the video, then inform them already report to police. Let them deal with the cops. Don't know which car registration number? Maybe can randomly pick 1, chances are they are insured by 1 insurer for the whole fleet. Unless they can proof that the vehicle shown in the video does not belong to them, I don't think it is up to them to deny responsibility.

Why video no use? the coy does not want to admit even when there is video and witness?

 

no driver's particulars means hit and run so must make police report. that's what my insurance coy told me before i can file a accident report. got video and witness just make police report.

The best part is to approach the affected company to hear what they want to say hoping that they agree with you. The "Bestest" part is that when the other party do not admit they are wrong and we accept it as it is.

 

"No use". It looks like a cleaar cut hit and run. An accident happened but the van driver did not ensure the other party is injure or not. Instead, it just drove off. Hit and run kind of accident does not means it has to take place in some quiet corner without motorists or witnesses. It can happened in brought daylights with lots of motorists as long as the affected vehilcles failed to stop to provide assistance.

 

Report the accident to the Police with the video asserting a hit and run. Not happy, go to Traffic Police with the video too. Lastly, show the evidence to the insurance company for a clean claim. With such evidence, someone is in for a big time.

1) File a police report, with accompanying video clip as 'evidence'.

 

2) Inform the insurance, with the police report, and video clip as well.

 

You don't have to have any communication with the company that owns the van. Why should you?
