Glitched Neutral Newbie December 13, 2012 Share December 13, 2012 Still a little uncertain on sealant, polish and wax. How does each compliment each other and which first? Step 1 - Wash Step 2 - Claybar when washing Step 3 - Polish (?) Step 4 - Sealant (?) Step 5 - Wax (?) Any bro could advice? I see many does only till sealant and mentions Wax is not needed. Here's how I do mine... Step 1 - Wash Step 2 - Claybar after washing... Clay with QD or claying lube Step 3 - Dry car Step 4 - Polish... Machine polish will lead to more steps... So, we'll just talk about hand polish. Hand polish usually I just apply AIO and wipe down. Step 5 - Sealant application. Wipe off after 30-45minutes. After that let it cure for 12 hours. Step 6 - Carnauba Wax after letting sealant cure for minimum 12hours. If car is driven before wax, need to go through another wash before wax application. Sealant and wax do the same job. Protect your paintworkand provide you with the shone and added gloss. Sealant typically provides you with a longer lasting protection. Wax produces a different kind of finishing look from sealant. Although unnecessary, some people apply both. Sealant for the protection and wax for the look + additional protection. Going with just sealant only is actually good enough. Just depends on what kind of finish you're looking at.
Nzy Twincharged December 13, 2012 Share December 13, 2012 (edited) Snow foam wash rims APC on door shuts and badges Rinse off the foam wash rinse claybar - depending on which claybar I use. If using the more aggressive types that need QD as lube then I dry the car first dry polish wash - if hand polishing then can skip this step dry sealant/wax trim dressings tire shine Edited December 13, 2012 by Nzy

For me is: 1. Search fr a decent n reliable looking groomer. 2. Call n check prices n what they will do n do they sound professional. 3. Select e best i can find based on price n professionalism. 4. Call them n arrange date n time for them to come to my mscp. 5. Hand car to them n watch them to make sure ty dont eat snake. 6. Once completed i inspect car n ask them rectify any parts not done properly or missed. 7. Stand back n admire my shiny "new " car. 8. Pay them. And there u hv e steps fr a shiny ride.
