At least with a bank deposit box if they waive the box fees for years ahead, you can still use it to store something. You can’t recreate the lost stem cells

I don’t understand the point in the refund, it should be large compensation. I could be wrong but it feels like insurance telling you that you aren’t actually insured, here, take back your $$$, next premium free also, although there’s no insurance any longer cause I can’t harvest the stem cells any longer.

The contract probably had limited the liability in such events.  If SG have class action suit cordlife will probably gets sued till bankrupt..

As a result, the company will offer a refund of annual fees received from the start of the temperature excursion and waive subsequent fees until the maturity of service agreements when the child turns 21 years of age for all active clients whose CBUs are stored in these two high-risk tanks.

And the refund is only during the period of temperature excursion???

All I know is that I stored my kid's cordblood to be used when needed until 21 years old, if finally it cannot be used, the refund should be from the fees I paid from first day, not only during the period of temperature variations. Finally still the whole cord blood is spoilt even if you have solved the technical issues.

It's like pay $100 rent safe deposit box in bank to keep $1m jewelry.  Then fire broke out destroyed everything and the bank say will refund the $100..

First they were a**holes to ruin the children's cord blood..

Now they also wanna be a**holes in their refund process.. it's a real double whammy for many affected parents and their families and this refund process is just plain lacking in empathy, remorse and humanity.

Bloody hell of a mess with all that precious cord blood damaged and the dishonesty displayed.

They should rebrand themselves to 'Cordlife?' cos it's not for sure if the cord blood will be there when one really needs it.

What's the point of having board members and management if Ministar has to do the shit job?

They chose to sleep, for fear that share prices might crash.

Well, the plan backfired on them. Really fortunate that a whistleblower did what he/she did.
