Kb27 Supersonic September 15, 2024 Share September 15, 2024 Check youtube. I took out cartridges before, dismantle it and put back together. If you pay attention, it's not rocket science. Take pictures, in case you forget. I remember some plastic disks inside. If one little grit gets in-between, it will cause the leak, bcuz the plastics are not flat together. There's 2 kinds, cold and hot+cold. I think generally, they are generic. And cartridge filter are not that expensive. If you have a unused tap, you can try taking it out and disassembling it. You'll probably need some small tools like allen key, flathead screwdriver.

Allen key, adjustable wrench/spanner, piece of cloth to protect the chrome surface when using the wrench if you are ngiow. And razor blade to remove the plastic cap hiding the hex bolt. And don't forget to turn off the valves/mains. Edited September 15, 2024 by Volvobrick

Thanks for the tips bro, but if anyone has a handyman for this and for some electrical work, please let me know? I have some issues with my cove lights too.. I'm using batten t5 from Philips, swopped out the t5 and the connector and it's still not working, tested the t5 at the store and it's fine, so I'm trouble shooting the connection on the last working t5 and see if it's the problem.. will be using my off day this week to sort it out, but these may be beyond my meagre repair skills... Those tubes very mafan, every few month one will fail. Switch to LED strip one shot. I did for one of my ceiling. Only 1 driver and one big roll of led. Batten voodoo, I got new tubes, new connectors and a bit of trial and error, and it's working now... haha It might be a hassle, but they are bright, cheap and easy to change.. LED strips don't fail much, but the drivers needs to be easily accessed... I have a friend who did LED strips all over his home, and now deeply regrets it, because he can't find the drivers, haha It's driving him nuts

Just change the whole set of strip and driver if really need to. shouldn't be difficult. For now T5 tubes still very easy to find since got lot of commercial use. Like its getting harder to find ceiling light circular tubes. Edited September 18, 2024 by Lala81

Tons of them easily available from China. Basically, it's just a DC power supply, mostly 12V. https://shopee.sg/MJJC-12V-1A-2A-Power-Supply-Driver-LED-Strip-Lighting-Transformer-i.154878985.2327358519?sp_atk=cc2ccf76-d87c-4c09-822a-84081537d39b&xptdk=cc2ccf76-d87c-4c09-822a-84081537d39b
therock Supersonic September 18, 2024 Share September 18, 2024 (edited) Maybe I didn't communicate this properly.. Getting a replacement from the store is not hard, connecting, likewise. Finding where in the home is the driver... that's tricky. Even for my previous home, the silly contractor hid the driver in the woodwork, which meant I could never change the driver.. So for my current place, I had boxes inside cabinets where the driver would sit.. Edited September 18, 2024 by therock

Kb27 Supersonic September 18, 2024 Share September 18, 2024 I diy my own LED strips. The driver and switch is exposed. This one I put under the kitchen cabinets. For me, I don't like to hide things, many people want to hide pipes, electricals wirings, switches, drivers, etc. When problem happens, it's difficult to find where they are. ↡ Advertisement
