Leaking water storage tank

My 5 years old storage tank above my false ceiling suddenly decides to leak today. I called the plumber and he suggests changing the whole tank.

I am thinking that since this is going to happen, I might also get a rain shower at the same time. Anyone know of a good place to get them?

Check if it's coming off from safety valve instead. If it's safety valve, just close it and problem solved. Open it later though.

It's about time....those storage tank type has a lifespan of about 5-6 years.

 

For rain shower, etc...why not just take a walk at balestier road...plenty of sanitary fitting shops. IMM also got quite many

Mild steel tank coated or treated with enamel will leak over time.

 

Stainless steel or glass lined tank is good enough for me.
