Rattling IU reader

I really don't mind the rattling sound.

 

Its that beeping sound I cannot take.

 

I wish someone would just make it stop.

 

 

To stop the sound...you need to do this...

Your is the old IU? I think the new type is smaller and lighter. I re-positioned it myself and used 3M heat resistant tape.

 

 

My car 7 yrs so i think its e old model.

 

It kept dropping especially in hot sun. The rolled up cloth solved e problem.

Any solution to a rattling IU reader while driving? Cannot take the noise.

 

mine too at times. very irrit in my so quiet cabin. take some blu tac and anyhow tac it along the gap.

I think i hv that somewhere in my house but it was so easy to just roll up a piece of cloth n jam it below. And it works so well...i just leave it fr a few yrs already.

That beeping very easy. Below e iu got a wire. Just cut it n e beeping wil stop.

what i do is to stick a felt-pad (the type you stick at the bottom of the leg of a chair so that it does not scratch the floor) on the underside of the card-reader, so that it provides a cushion layer between the cashcard and the IU reader. the rattling will stop. you have to buy a relatively thin pad though, so that your cashcard does not get bent too much when you slot it in.
