Playtime Twincharged June 16, 2013 Share June 16, 2013 I when to change my radiator on Thursday as it was leaking. A few hundred dollars later, it was done. But over the next 2 days, while the radiator water level seems ok, the coolant level has fallen by about 20%. While the coolant level seems to have stabilized. Anyone knows if this is normal? many thanks ↡ Advertisement

Anyone knows if this is normal? many thanks When engine is cold...top up reservoir to a bit above MIN mark. After a couple of days when engine cold again...chk e level sud b same. When just fill there might b an air pocket. Once air pocket has been bled out...e level in reservoir sud drop. If it has dropped after topping up 3 times....there cud b a leak. If after u top up 3 times when cold n level keeps dropping then likely there is a leak. Go back to shop n tell them level keep dropping.

Picanyeo 1st Gear June 16, 2013 Share June 16, 2013 If your coolant is green, can go petrol kiosk get a bottle of concentrated coolant for $5. Then mix with distilled water according to the instructions given. You can then use that to top up when needed. Usually when coolant is just changed, there may be air pockets in the radiator but it will bleed out over time. So your coolant reservoir level will drop. But this should not last too long.
