rcz Neutral Newbie October 25, 2015 Share October 25, 2015 92k may be tough given the current market condition. Car expo coming up plus slight decrease in quota (60 only but psychologically people get afraid when they hear "decrease"). Maybe there will be some good offers during Car expo that you can consider. Else, give it a few bids and hope for the best. 2016 should be the last year we see some good low prices, before it starts going back up again. I got addition 2k discount frm list price..bcos my sister bot a kia frm the same SE n she referred me. if u intend to mod the k3..then u shld jus ask for a bare EX ...I jus asked leather wrapped steering. Bcos when SE throw in stuff they wil claim is $800 to $1000 each so they can't make $$.but outside u can easily get it at fraction of the price. Bargain/squeeze the SE for the lowest price.also don't go for the servicing package it will more or less restrict your mod...that's my opinion la

Things like Seats n steering wheel can leather wrap n the hu can change etc.. As for the SE telling you how much the upgrades n freebies cost, you can get the market price if you know the 3rd party installer. Some will say the 10k extra of the sx sport is not worth over the ex, but I think the overall package plus higher omv is OK to me. The time to find , arrange and get a good set of leather wrapping, HU, etc is not inconsiderable n will need much coordination to fix up n troubleshoot yourself if things cock up or affect the rest of the car system... But to each their own..on the warranty, as long as kia Sg dun hv ur servicing records , they can dun honor the 5 yr warranty. So if u ok to forgo your 5yr warranty, then u can service outside and mod to your heart's content... Edited October 25, 2015 by Lurpsexx

Compared diff interest rate of 1.88% from hyundai, whereas kia is 2.28%. But the SE tried to sell me 3M mat for $60. Ya, can change the rims n tyres.. dun think will affect the warranty too much.. but if u mod the suspension, then they have case to reject your warranty claim as its affecting the whole car... Alvantan 1st Gear October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 Oh sorry, I'm talking about my own se which is a she. Haha. Btw Javier, the 3a car mat is a standard issue I think. Dark_flan 2nd Gear October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 I received my k3 yesterday. Not bad at all but rem to check your car when received. My front cam was not able to on and after the tech checked they say it's the circuit board fuse blown. I also realise later that there is water stain under the headlamp. If I didnt observe it I will not be able to see it. Most likely will observe for a while and feedback during the 1k servicing. Oh yours as well. My headlamps also got water stain in fact both headlights and bringing to C&C to rectify. They wanted to polish but I said no as it also polish off the original UV coating which can cause a lot of problems such as yellowing quickly. Furthermore I done glass coating on my lamps as well. Just a some q for fellow owners of the K3. So far, the FC anybody can get anywhere close to 14.7km/l as claimed? I max can get around 11.9km/l. 50% highway and 50% urban. Mostly 10.9km/l even after first servicing. Also when u just switch on the air con after starting your car. Does the car vibrate a bit and make bit of noise? Air con is cold but find it odd that it make some noise.
alexndrtz 1st Gear October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 Anyone visited Kia showroom past weekend? They have new promotion, with free accessories, and 50% disc on other accessories (based on sgcarmart). For those who visited, can share detail on what was offered? Mine is 8.2L/100KM or 12.19KM/L, city driving 40%, AYE 60%. Aircon on will hv a bit of engine HP loss & shudder, as the engine also need to drive the aircon compressor... nothing out of the ordinary. I'm sure you know that manufacturer figures are rarely typical for real world use

Stain is most likely on the inside as I do not feel any rough feel touching along the surface of the headlights. Tomorrow I am driving in to C&C and if proven is manufacturer defects, they will replace a pair. But if it is due to the glass coating applicator then they will pay for the damages. Expected if I have to leave my car for 2 to 3 days partly they damage my bodykit with minor stress cracks and need to rectify as well. Though I do not mind as I have touched up myself already but seek warranty and free servicing reinbursement as they fixed up with silicon and worried will damage the original coating if taken out to change bodykit. Also troublesome to recoat the glass coating for new kit though C&C shall pay the cost. I ask for a courtesy loan car and was given during the repair. Hmm. My bro's new Jazz 1.5 also fall short of manufacturer claim of 17km/l but achieve 15km/l. Sounds like generator sound when start air con. Funny. flashbang Turbocharged October 26, 2015 Share October 26, 2015 You have to deduct a bit to get the real world FC in SG. These FC figures were calculated based on other countries, where traffic and road conditions are different. As you know in SG highways also get congested during peak hours and you may be travelling at 50-60km/h only.
3diamonds Clutched October 27, 2015 Share October 27, 2015 The FC figures are quite low though. I thought of installing the unichip Q+ to improve effiency and power. Any of the bros here did that?

Dark_flan 2nd Gear October 27, 2015 Share October 27, 2015 nope. we are planning to install rschip Do note that it voids the warranty if they see this device on the engine when you do servicing. I once void a car with the broquet in the engine but give chance if he takes it out. So you'll live with the water stain? Where is the stain? Inside or outside the headlamp cover? Went to C&C to rectify and they agreed to replace both headlights and free Zertona coating after replacement along with my replacement grille. Partly maybe I am an ex C&C staff and I direct deal with the manager instead rather than the SA. ↡ Advertisement
