song77 2nd Gear May 7, 2018 Share May 7, 2018 Hi fellow owners: Two questions 1. Where is the point to apply grease to door hinge? 2. How do you turn off daytime running lights?
GaryFoo 1st Gear May 7, 2018 Share May 7, 2018 update on my questions earlier. I asked my SE regarding 1) the no warning for not attaching front passenger seat belt 2) and the missing patch of red lamp for the tail lights. he told me that is 'normal' and the same other cars. Would appreciate if anyone can verify on their car if is an SX or EX with facelift.

JimmyLow_151094 1st Gear May 8, 2018 Share May 8, 2018 For those who want to buy K3, dont say I did not warn you first. Some batch of Kia ECU will randomly has a inherent problem and the eco light will come out by itself. This happen tonl me 5th time in 8 months and CNC is not able to resolve it. You buy K3 at your own risk. CNC can only reset your ECU and not able to solve it. They did not change any of my parts for the last 5 visits went. So you guage for yourself if you want to take the risk or not. 1

So pls do not jump to the conclusion that all K3 is have such issue. Maybe you got yourself a lemon car...but I believe CnC will try their best to solve for you. JimmyLow_151094 1st Gear May 8, 2018 Share May 8, 2018 Mine is L mode. No drive mode control. I went down CNC 4 times already. All they did is reset ECU and monitor. If this is their so call try their best, i am very disappointed. Because of their inability to solve the problem, i have to listen to the workshop advice outside and change the steering remote in case cruize control light up as well halfway driving and i cannot control the car speed. This will be very dangerous. Eco light up still not that dangerous. Imagine your are on the road and cruize light up and you cannot control car speed.... I am just stating what happen to my car less than a year. If it does not appears to your car, good for you. It happen to mine. I cannot allow car functions to turn on by itself and I have no control to turn it off. This is putting my whole family at risk.

If you have auto Eco mode turn ON, isn't it a good thing? Whereas other L model don't have? Eco mode saves fuel which is good. As for Cruise control, it won't be activated unless you set it cause it need you to determine the speed setting. Even if it self activated, just step on the brake and it will de-activate the cruise setting. What danger are you referring to?
JimmyLow_151094 1st Gear May 8, 2018 Share May 8, 2018 My eco mode activate randomly that why i am worried. What happen if it happen to cruize also.then i lost control of car speed on the road.i cannot put my family to these risk. CNC says by right it should not happen. By left is happenning. All these functions are good only if you have control. It become a potential accident waiting to happen if you dont have control. Already happen to ECO. I am not going to take risk for other lights. This is basic car safety Other than this i have no complain about K3. Just that this random turn on ECO feature is frightening me. I dont know what else will randomly turn on later. So i think its not related.
JimmyLow_151094 1st Gear May 8, 2018 Share May 8, 2018 I install steering control after ECO light keep on coming out. Need to ensure in case it happen to cruize control and i can turn it off cos that will be too dangerous if cruize turn on randomly also. Cannot take this risk. Anyway CNC just call me and told me they are likely to explore including the switch for me to turn off eco if it come out again in future. Cos seems like not able to prevent it from happening again. ↡ Advertisement
