Ckchong8 1st Gear October 28, 2013 Share October 28, 2013 So far no..except for the conditional pass during inspection. One think I find it strange is tat even led reverse light also kanna conditional pass.Probably it not the main headlight tt ty are concern. what a word to describe didn't hv the pic to show you, it look so dim n blur..haha i checked the ultinon 4300k not as yellowish, maybe off white. see any better price before buy. definitely won't put other colors, so off-beat. my only preference would be white / off-white close to HID, not even the bluish ones. ↡ Advertisement
Kreampuff 1st Gear October 28, 2013 Share October 28, 2013 When one of my stock halogen blew, I decided to change to white bulb (not HID) but it was a total waste of time. I imagined it would be like those HID lights which lights up 5 lanes but instead the light is weak and for my 38 year old eyes, it was dangerous driving with such poor lighting. In rainy conditions, the white light is especially useless. After changing several rounds of costly white bulbs (cos they kept blowing), I finally went back to yellow halogens during my AD servicing, and I'm finally happy. My advice is, try to understand what white bulbs will look like. Even the brands like night breaker and diamond vision aren't particularly bright and I find yellow halogens to be more visible that these aftermarket white bulbs.
Fuelsaver Supercharged October 28, 2013 Share October 28, 2013 (edited) Probably it not the main headlight tt ty are concern. no worries, i havin it. the more i looked at it, the more it befits ur description. another small poison for me.. good thing the design of my pole light is that it is housed in a tube wif front lens to ensure front surface of the tube is lit up; not the typical reflect from behind the bulb. like this - Edited October 28, 2013 by Fuelsaver

If yr led pole light is placed together with the main low beam, it wun last cos its too hot. LED dun like too hot. Yes yellowish halogens give much better visiblity especially during rain n fog. White u usually see sh!t. Also many of those aftermarket white bulbs r crap. U cant see n u also dazzle other drivers cos the throw is all over the place. Stick to those well known brands like Philips. Last time I try NightBreaker n ty only last a few months. Wasted my $70. Too hot n the LED blow in a few weeks only. At first I tot the bulb lousy but when I put at the rear licence plate light, it lasted a few of years. I order online from HK only a couple of bucks each bulb. Much cheaper than I see pple sell in Spore. I see in JB ty sell only abt RM5 for 2 pcs.
