confirm is blur sotong.....a case of driver assuming the traffic light on his side has changed subsequently after the traffic light at the perpendicular roads have changed.

 

example on my last trip in Taiwan, the taxi driver chauffeuring me can predict a blur car driver will beat the red lights due to fact that the sequence of change of traffic light at that junction is quite unorthodox. and he was proven correct on the spot when the car in the lane beside us did exactly that.

If u know in bangkok a traffic junction think around sathorn area, the traffic light is unpredictable.

 

My thai friend who drive said wtf cos front side 2x green, right side 2x green

 

And left side 4x green, yet our light still red. So in that junction we wait about 7-10 mins

that's consider ok liao.......I once kana 999 sec of red light at a junction in Siam area.....it's a pain in the ass counting down to zero.......

and my destination is only another 0.5 km away.......but my ex-gf and I feel bad about abandoning the cab driver in the jam plus we have to carry our baggage so we decided to stay put......even the cab driver was complaining......

Seems like quite a few of these cases nowadays. Maybe these r FT n not used to driving on our roads so ty mistaken RED for GO n GREEN for STOP.

Also to report TP can b very troublesome cos if the other party dispute, u hv to attend court to testify.

 

Unless there was an accident or someone injured then I wil submit the video to assist in investigations.

 

I hv seen cases with my own eyes where the car ran a red light without reliasing it n was not intentional.

 

This case cud also b the driver jump the gun thinking the light was about to change in his favour n just cheong.

I myself had an occasion at AMK ave 1 under the CTE flyover.

 

I wanted to turn right to enter the CTE but I saw the light to go straight was red n I tot it was fr me so I waited till a car behind me horn then I chk no cars I shoot off but the poor guy behind me had no chance to clear the light cos it had just changed to red.

 

I might hv run the red light but I was a bit confused cos there was one set red to go straight n one set green to turn right. I only noticed the red light but not the green light.

I wonder if that junction in BKK has sensors to help clear the directions with more traffic backed up?

 

But some lights in BKK n Msia also, the red n green light damm long.

 

This is so more cars can clear the junction at one go.

999 secs can go to roadside stall eat a plate of pad thai first.
