Jacklim82 Neutral Newbie November 6, 2013 Author Share November 6, 2013 Becos that nail just nice occupy almost all the space (maybe 98%) in the punture. But the reminder "2%" the nail can't cover, so the air leak from there, but not leak alot... Btw, how much they charge you for the patch? $6 to patch ↡ Advertisement
Ladykillerz 4th Gear November 6, 2013 Share November 6, 2013 Finally find time to go AL tyre, that guy checked by submerge the wheel into a pool of water and check for bubbles... Found the culprit, is a nail. Weirdest part is why nail puncture in never leak alot?? Also did my rotation and balancing there @ $16. it's always the case of a hidden nail somewhere that usually caused a tiny leak. just a pointer for you; you might want to monitor your tyres wear rate too. make sure that the wearing rate is uniformed. usually after rotation, chances of alignment issue is kinda high. that's when you see your tyres wear unevenly. check early before you spend more on changing tyres without knowing why. Roberttan 5th Gear November 7, 2013 Share November 7, 2013 most tyre pressure drops are due to punctured (nail, screw , cut , tooth pick also got) it happened also due to valve (mostly old one) and rim leak(corrosion crack, dented etc) and dirt or alien living btw your rim and tyre bead. If your WS is not able to find any nail or screw from tyre externally , please tell them to separate the tyre and rim to check internally you may find the culprit. Best and Safest way of tyre repair is only Internal repair The only way whick allow to inspect any internal injury . and is Not so SAFE to have a leak stop but running on (may be) internally injured tyre ↡ Advertisement
