Hais Neutral Newbie October 29, 2014 Share October 29, 2014 Issue 1 : Actually what is spring-y ah? So far there is only one weird sound with my car, which is the "ze..ze ze..ze" like the disc start turning in the CD player once a while. Issue 2 : Sound is produced via vibration, If speaker no vibration, then the speaker no sound one wo, do you mean the speaker broken sound? So far so good with my car, mine only the right passenger door need greater force to close, lazy go back to CnC to check as not that bad also, think will highlight to them during first servicing. c&c said the speaker sound is also normal again this morning. i have to reason with them to proof i am right. i tune their test drive car to the same setting as my car... the test drive car has no issue but my car got the funny sound.... then only they admit something is wrong with my car's speaker. the sound coming out from the start button is still not resolve, they still insist it is 'normal'. Once you press the start button and when you drive for first few minutes you will notice the sound. Is it possible to meet up and hear if your car got the same sound? the test drive unit also have the same funny sound...maybe you guys never notice it... i would really appreciate if we can meet up to conclude if such sound coming out from keyless entry is normal. Many people think the world of buying from AD, insisting it is the only way to go, but turns out that AD can sometimes play punk also coming up with lame excuses for vehicle faults. Looking at past horror stories coming out from PML, VGS and now even C&C, it makes you wonder.

nigel8210 3rd Gear October 30, 2014 Share October 30, 2014 So far after driving 2600Km and 5weeks plus, for my C200 via PI route, here are the niggling small complains 1. Driver side noise insulation, at high speed of 80km and above I can hear wind coming in.... 2. insensitive touchpad, now I finally realise I need to press the back button on the touchpad a few times to ''regain'' it to work whenever I find it not really working (mine is the first few batch from the German Plant) I heard a lot of people got this complain from the first few batches 3. 7-G tronics Gearbox start to feel more ''rough'' and not as smooth as before, I can virtually feel a slight jerk occasionally when I rev to overtake I am still thinking should I bring for engine oil change, PI dealer says I should go after 1000Km but everywhere I read for Merc and BMW, first servcing is around 10-15K KM Any recommendations?

Looking at past horror stories coming out from PML, VGS and now even C&C, it makes you wonder. I think is subjective. My neighbour is driving a C200. Both headlight stopped working after 4 years. He went back to CnC to complain. They replaced both Headlight FOC.

Damienic 5th Gear October 30, 2014 Share October 30, 2014 Unfortunately, it does not worth the effort to buy B&B via PI route. The absolute saving does not justify the effort. what is your defintion of B&B? I guess cars like Vezel and etc are considered B&B. how about C200 or the 4 series, is it still considered B&B? I think is subjective. My neighbour is driving a C200. Both headlight stopped working after 4 years. He went back to CnC to complain. They replaced both Headlight FOC. I think issues like headlights is very absolute. It is either working or not working at all. So any AD or dealer can't argue against it. However, the problems brought up such as unusual noises and sound is a bit grey and often subject to arguments. In the case that was just highlighted, I find it rdiculous for the AD to brush away sounds coming out as normal sounds from keyless entry. I just don't buy it. There are also instances of customer lodging claims with the SCT against VGS for persistent issues which they cannot solve/refused to honour. So you can get such potential pitfalls from buying from AD afterall. So far after driving 2600Km and 5weeks plus, for my C200 via PI route, here are the niggling small complains 1. Bro, remembered I mentioned the ze ze sound like the CD player reading disc in my post? Today i switch off the radio and tried to listen carefully where it's coming from, i think this is the sound that you mentioned, but it's not happening when start the engine, mine is on off and once a while, usually just one time, ze for 3-4 times continuously, can be starting, mid of driving but not everytime can hear. inlinesix Hypersonic October 30, 2014 Share October 30, 2014 to all the AD owners out there, are you required to bring your car for 1000Km oil change? Aiya, the car will tell you when to go for servicing. Mind you, 1k km is old skool. Very likely Merc engine has been run-in already. These extra oil change is required if the car has been in the warehouse for a long time (like 6 - 12 mths).
