From my observation, here are the lower-spec bits: 1) Low resolution monochrome LCD between the tachometer and speedo 2) No aluminium trim strips used on the door interior and passenger dashboard - replaced by a plain grey painted strip 3) Smaller low resolution color LCD for the MMI 4) AUDI concert audio system instead of AUDI multimedia audio system 5) 4 spoke steering wheel instead of 3 spoke and without any steering wheel controls 6) Externally no chrome strip around windows and matt black instead of gloss black surround 7) No spare tyre 8) No rear air-con vents 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

U get what u pay for lo. If you want a bit more toys, get the higher specced variants, or get the older preowned models. Most of the 08-12 models come with rear air con, adaptive suspension / steering, folding mirror, 3 spoke steering wheel with audio control, bt hands free, color dis (driver information system). However the older models mostly don't come with bt streaming, so u win some u lose some. I personally won't go for the current base spec a4 as there's too much being stripped from it. Go for the higher specced version, or get the new a3 sedan if space isn't too important. The design is newer and the drive is decent, even in base 122hp form. Just need to upsize the rims (stock 16s) and lower suspension, and you should be fine. 2 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The full specs wasn't available the last time I bought it in June (155K). For example the BYD tang or the Greatwall SUVs etc. I think china cars are lacking in engine and transmission tech. The only way to re-establish a brand would be to go bonkers. Low spec might not be cheap in quality, if you know what i mean. Granted the base a4 in question has low spec, but its still well made, and definitely not cheap quality. Its up to individual - maybe let's say 90% of the features no use to him - but he saves 20k - then it is great deal to him with a small sacrifice.
