I also have the same thought as you before, which I thought Manual car is all about the left and right foot. However, It have a lot of differences. Example in ECO Mode, no matter how hard you put ur foot down, the pickup is really slow. I'm not even dare to choice full open mode "FM9" because the response is superb and too fast. The mechanic (After I install this item and show him whether my item was installed in the right way) who also install the same item did advised me don't too greed, FM6 is really enough for everyone. Manual car is still better because you the one control to shift the gear. Well, I'm here to share my experience toward this device, hence this is only my two cents.

previously not sure (forgotten liow )if using violence or another one on my Honda Edix 1.7A....now driving Forester never install liow.

 

does not really like that harsh factor though.....even on my edix also set it to normal......

but my friend had it on his Wish and he likes it a lot.

Reverse function as usual. I don't think this item can cutoff the reverse gear as you mentioned on above. You see, this item is connect with the throttle pedal only, how can it possible to control the gearbox function? What I can say is, if you going to install those item which will only slightly increase your horsepower and with higher price, I would recommend you go for this item. This item can set to ECO Mode (fuel saving) if you in the heavy traffic conjunction or any mode you like whether you wanna to chiong or smooth drive.

You driving Henessey Venom ah? If full throttle on your car is beyond your ability, you should concentrate on driving skills and not putting mods on your car.

 

ECO mode of course slow, the thing is cutting your throttle opening to maybe 1/3. But your Henessey Venom even 1/3 should be fast.

Thanks for your advise, I normally reverse the car without step the gas pedal. What I can say this item will improve acceleration.

What I mean was, this item is working for manual car as well. Not discussing about the driving skill nor car brand.

if you shift to reverse , it is supposed to be disconnected by itself.

 

for manual car , you will not feel much difference.

if you wanna use it for normal car, just practice your clutch control can already.
