Squeaking sound from engine

u guys are missing the picture

is the story abt the 1 yr coe car

or the ah long link thinly disguised as a pitiful post

I'm ok with the noise, but will it lead to more serious problems if not fixed?

 

 

for a belt that is 20 bux, u wish to ignore it and live with the chipmunks chirping, and risk damaging your tensioner (100ish), air con compressor ( 600+ish and up), as well as anternator (1000+ish and up)

 

its as bad as making out with a west african chick laden with aids and ebola

Thanks for the advice bro... but dont think ws will charge me $20 to replace belt only?

 

Now just realised the bonnet release is not working liao... gonna be another headache.

see wat car and how complicated

some brand belt expensive like ford

some car engine bay very cramp, u must remove banana leaf and jackup to change, some can do from engine bay (if mechanic got skill)

as point 2 above, depend mechanic skill, mine change my belt in 1 min

my old altis is because of fan belt. now driving fiat is because of timing belt. so problem varies. best to go workshop check

bonnet release only change cable most probably, like bicycle brake line i think.
