Wonder how much will new carens be..

 

I bought the previous generation one at $68,999, with a COE of $17,602 obtained during the 2nd bidding in July 2007.

Am expecting the new Carens to price slightly higher than K3, around $125,000.

Saw the new Rio in boleh land, damn Chio, some more in full body kit !!

Hope the new Caren comes and both are priced attractively..

You are indeed correct. I was told the Carens is selling at about S$130K. This depends to the extras that comes with each different models. Basic model is some countries is a 1.6L petrol engine which is not available here. I have the Korean catalog which I can share with you if interested.

Kia Rio, at $98K costs $3K more than K3 EX.

 

Reason being there is limited stocks here, and C&C is trying to push sales for K3.

 

Once more stocks arrive, prices for Rio should be below than K3.

 

If one must get a hatch at such prices, I think it makes more sense to get a Nissan Note at $93K or a Suzuki Swift at $94K, both of which are made in Japan.

Really? I thought it was a really nifty car... with lots of features but the price was simply too high. $100,000 when it was launched... simply doomed by the high price. I think they're going to re-launch it with lower specs and much lower price. Mitsubishi Attrage less than $80,000, this Rio confirm no fight.

Wow... you bought a really rare car... but also a pretty brilliant one... is this the model with all the sporty stuff with 17 inch rims and bodykit? It was going for $107,999 when I viewed in some time in end 2015 or so... COE premium was crazy then...

Definitely more popular in Malaysia... it's the in between aspirational brand for those who can't afford a mid sized Korean... and a Jap car is too far off...
