I think the CD-AH200 is the whole connection kit with a few cables.

I used only the normal micro USB cable that came with the Sony Z3. Some older phones may need the micro to HDMI adapter but the Z3 did not need it. Newer models just the micro USB should work. But please be careful when driving, mirroring it got a lot more distracting apps.

Have fun with the set.

Hi, over the weeks discovered something good about the 8750, the Bluetooth connection.

When connected to iPhone...

1. Music and media playback as usual, music meta data shows up except for album cover.

2. The next time you get in the car, AUTO RESUME when Bluetooth reconnected.

3. Phone function with Siri voice works the same.

4. Spotify and Mediacorp MeRadio works with music meta data displayed also. Plus AUTO RESUME.

Find that MeRadio is much clearer and you can get radio in underground car parks. But at the cost of data. Be sure to have unlimited or large data bundle to use this.

Like the "cable and hassle" free auto connect every time I get in the car.

Any new Kia owner here change to the 8750. Does the steering control all still working including the answer phone call

It depends on which Kia model but you will definitely need to buy the Pioneer steering wheel control module to attach to the correct wires. The Kia you have steering comes with the red and green phone symbol? And the speak button? If yes you can connect to the module. The module is $200+ I think.

I am driving the kia carens new model, however the steering controls looks the same throughout the current models. I just want to make sure it works before buying.

I have the same problem. When turn on the head unit, it will take approx 50 seconds to start.

Installer swapped the head unit, problem persists.

Called up Pioneer, and was told Subaru and a Toyota model have such problem. Problem lies with car, not head unit.

Hi, I am using 8750 now, bought on May. I have been facing the issues below since day 1.

While using Apple Car Play,

  • lagging or screen hang if changing mode, such as from USB 1 to USB 2. It will not back to normal and have to restart the system. (have to restart the car.)
  • when playing the song from my iphone, and reversing the car. After reversed the car, gear switched to D or N, the playing stopped or screen hang.
  • No back camera view showed when reversing. (screen blank)
Others:
  • System will not start immediately when I started my car. It took a few minutes to start after that.
All these are intermittent issues and not happen everytime, but recently seems like become more frequent. I tried to upgrade the firmware to the latest version from Pioneer website, the problem still unsolved.

Anyone facing the same problem as me?

By the way, anyone know how to 'off' the system (not off the display) without off my car?

Thanks. [:)]

You can try Chuan Sing located at Serangoon Garden. I have just done up my HU with steering wheel functional well. It was neatly done up and im pretty satisfic with it.

So I am curious if anyone is using AppRadioLive or EC Radio to provide a unified interface? I have a 5750BT with an Iphone.

AppradioLive seems like a tremendously crippled system, you have choice of one mapping service (Inrix) with no audible routing instruction, free internet radio streaming, free weather information and useless upcoming event prompts.

EC Touch appears to be better but is a largely paid service. I am trying to decide if I want to spend a bit of money to unlock these features. I am aware there is a one hour try before you buy which I have not activated yet, and am unsure if it gives me enough time to decide if I should buy it?

Any advice from the more seasoned users here?

Hi Yong 81,

I am currently using AA with my Sony Zperia Z4 Tablet, on auto update from OTA. So, it is Lollipop 5.0.1 I don't have this problem that you are describing. However, the Google map do hang at startup, within like 1-2 min. The whole screen will appear stationary. AA will also not startup if I don't have bluetooth to AVH-Z8750BT. Tune-in radio apps will also cause the AA to hang.

What is the handset and version you are using?

Hi Yong, sorry but I did not experience this problem. I tried using Mi4i, Sony Z3 and S6 all AA works w Google Map. As Chong says, maybe update your 5.x. os. Or try a friends or another Android 5.x device if AA works. then you can determine if it is the HU. Sometimes also cable. You never know. But one step at a time. Eliminate one item at a time.

hi skloke / Chong,

I just manage to get it to work, I updated to latest AA, previously I reinstalled to the older version, therefore giving me the same problem. After that I install the latest version (I think is 1.3.XXX) then is working, previously I think is 1.0.XXX.

thanks for yours feedback and help.
