Specific portions? If I zhng ICE, they void the sound system warranty only? lol.

Yes.

Zhng ICE = void electrical warranty?

Zhng rims & tyres how?

Void wheel bearing warranty.

I think many look see only, waiting for the next COE bidding and anticipating lower.

I also think coe might be weak. But probably not much. Didn't want to wait further. Booked a XT.

Congrats ! Smart decision to own what you like to drive.

Gd job!

I am still thinking hard which to get. Heard that there is a subby road show at Waterway Point from tmr for a week. Wonder whether there are additional perks.

Btw how is the cvt of the forester? Tbh I am no fan of typical cvt cos of the drony noise when u accelerate the car

I think it is good. Didn't observe any noise. But just a short test drive. May not be conclusive. The current owner will be able to give you better feedback.

For FXT soundproofing is very good. Plus the power where slight pedal is enough, I hardly need to rev or notice the sound of the engine. Edited by Rachdanom

Tbh, this is probably the best cvt I've ever driven. Comparing cvt from current Hondas, Toyota Altis or axio, and the Nissan xtronic.

You mean the side step? My dad who is about 1.5m also says too high. Seems from those from the FB page that used some 3rd party one, some parts not very rigid. I cant stand loose stuff, gives anything a cheap feel, so didn't look further. Besides loose may not be safe.

Ya i have been trying a bit of cvts. A bit turned off by the hrv's cvt... very noisy when accelerating. Nissan's cvt tried to mimick gear changes so not that bad. So hopefully subby's cvt will be gd. Cheers!

I was also turn off by the hrv cvt! I tot was engine till someone in the forum told me it's the cvt....

Fxt is very quiet and good for our city drives. I find qq is quiet if compare to hrv...

What I love about the sj is improved sound proofing and the drivers view. It's very easy to get use to it.

I would like to retrofit on my 2016 FL FNA a louder horn, like a Hella Supertone or Twin Tone. Can this be done without adding a relay? (i.e. the current setup already has a relay).

Anyone replaced theirs and have recommendations? Thanks.

Hi all Bro

Has been driving FNA for two months. Like to have some feedback from other FNA owner. Does your CVT give out some noise when you slow down your ride or when coming to a full stop?

Also notice when initial pick up / moved from full stop, engine abit noisy at 2000 rpm but once it start to cruise you hardly heard any noise at all. Only noise heard is from the tires rotating.

I noted there seem abit power loss compare to before, maybe have to change to a better engine oil when my next 5K servicing.

Appreciate all feedback

During my test drive of the fna, the thing I notice about the initial acceleration is the noise too. It sounds like the engine is not so refine. It's ok when it starts to pick up speed. At first I also tot it's from the cvt. Then I test drove the fxt then I realise the noise is not from cvt but somehow the mom turbo engine in the fna is less refine. I'm referring to the same rpm btw just to show a fair comparison.

After 1k oil change u sure feel a slight lost in power due to the crap shell helix 5w40. It's thicker than then factory oil which I believe it's 5w30. I'm getting motul 5w30 for my next change. Heh

I am using the supertone. You can use back the original relay.

Have test driven the FXT and I think the engine-drivetrain combo is also important. meaning it's the turbo FA20DIT engine too... never bothered to test drive the non-turbo Subaru cars with CVT so I can't say for sure that Subaru's CVT is better.
