Not siding anyone, he probably can't tell from your messages that you're really keen to book. They receive tons of enquiries everyday and deal with walk-ins as well as referrals... Suggest you pump him a call instead. I didn't have instant replies from Jass too although I booked the forester with her. I think don't expect top class service from bread and butter marques and you will be a happier shopper
Rachdanom 2nd Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 CNY price is much lower. I bought my FXT during CNY at $111,800. I got my COE @ $47k. Had been driving the car for 1 mth plus.. Wow thats 10k off what I got..thats the FNA price now. Such is buying cars...like stock market.
Sicko Neutral Newbie May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 One man's meat is anothers poison. Sale of XT and NA is so good that the SE abit yaya papaya. Ask me go down to suntec and will give me a better deal but put on table a rubbish take it or leave it offer. Wanted to push me to a corner not even willing to let me discuss separately with my CO. So i f off immediately and bought another car 2 hours later. Though i like XT but the attitude piss me off.
mrhan1982 4th Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 (edited) I viewed the QQ 2.0 before buying FXT, was actually considering QQ2.0 and FNA. QQ do looks a lot better, the leather car wrap is much more classy, interior built and exterior looks also much better than Forester. My only concern was the headroom, since I am buying a SUV, I wanted one with more room. In the end, I do say QQ have their followers and rightly so, I also paid extra $500 to have my leather wrapping upgraded and I will say it was the best add on I made, makes the FXT look and feel much better. Just my own opinion. The leather change is one my best choices made to my ft too. Not just a change in color but the leather grade is better too. U can feel it. Btw I changed it to terra brown. It liven up the interior a lot. The qq 2.0 is a much better drive than the 1.2t in my opinion. But unfortunately, it lacks the characteristics of a true suv. Most importantly, it's too small especially the rear seats. Lesser legroom means harder to put rear facing child seats as the front passenger and driver need to move forward a bit. Not good for me and wife since we like to push our seats back. Edited May 31, 2016 by mrhan1982
Rachdanom 2nd Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 (edited) Hi Forester owners, Would like to check, the SE said the current stock will be locked to the buyer once you paid the booking and that car cannot be sold to anyone. 1. Anyone bought the car with 8 bids NG at how many bid you got the car. 2. Anyone experience after 8 bids still never get the car and SE asking for top up before you get the car. Thanks! And have a nice day! Maybe the more experienced bros can chime in but here is how I see they play the game. It depends on the COE demand and buyers level of KCS-ness. Like recently after the MAS, many buyers flocked to showrooms. MI give super sweet deals. All sign on the line. Existing Forester stock all snapped up. They order new batch. But buyers prob have to wait long for the COE. Before this, they were confident to get the COE so the non guaranteed doesnt matter, and many got at 1st bid. Next round in June, I think it wont be so easy. Edited May 31, 2016 by Rachdanom
mrhan1982 4th Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 Will be similar to what u see in the QQ. It comes with 3 years warranty so any issues if arise I can get them to rectify. I'm not sure original black leather how Long was the warranty...The upgraded leather is 4 years warranty according to warranty card. Best upgrade option ever. I got mine at $250 coz I nego with se and he paid half of it.
Jaris32 1st Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 Hey Forester owners Do you feel there's quite high level of road noise intrusion from your stock rides? The doors sounded like milo tins when you knock it. Have to install sound proofing mats to make it sound sweeter.. Or my ears are too picky? stock tyres are lousy? Only did 600ks on them

Linux8998 1st Gear May 31, 2016 Share May 31, 2016 image.png How is this prompt and polite? Lol I rather let another SE earn my money. Only did 600ks on them Not sure abt FXT stock tires but i dont rate the FNA stock tires very well. Heard them screeching a few times even when making a simple u-turn. Or when i stop on a steep slope and move off again, stepping abit harder. Dont think the engine is that power, just think the tires have lousy traction since they are rated B anyway. Anyway the built quality of FNA isnt very impressive. 2.8k mileage and i seem to hear rattling coming from rear portion of the car, either from the rear doors or spare tire styrofoam board or the tonneau cover.. quite irritating. Speakers also as it gets louder tend to vibrate n rattle... likely need to upgrade and soundproof once 1yr audio warranty is up

But kinda easy to spot the scratches and dust or white marks appear very obvious... But I Guess I made the decision to overlook these when I choose Tera brown knowing my high utilisation will not be able to keep the leather clean for Long

For better audio experience would probably need to apply a second layer, and change the front speakers. Am sourcing for better quality and quiet tyres for the FNA too. Really cost cutting measures from MI. Tyres are the only contact between vehicle and ground and I would change them out first.

I am ok with the FXT's system. An upgrade from my old Civic, which was decent already.
