bros booked the laser shade should have collected the items. Hope can share how does the shade fix in to FX and will it really help to reduce the hot sun heat ? Best if can share some photo here. Many thanks.

MI sells groovy shades. DIY in couple of minutes. You can google groovy shades and laser shades fitted to Foresters. Good deterrent of sunlight especially for the back passengers.

Given by my SE for my FNA as part of freebies.

Some people look longer term like road tax, insurance and fuel consumption. Some dig the looks too. The QQ does have some goodies not found in the Forester...

CNY price is much lower.

I bought my FXT during CNY at $111,800. I got my COE @ $47k.

Had been driving the car for 1 mth plus..

Think we got the same deal, same COE and same time collected car

I viewed the QQ 2.0 before buying FXT, was actually considering QQ2.0 and FNA.

QQ do looks a lot better, the leather car wrap is much more classy, interior built and exterior looks also much better than Forester.

My only concern was the headroom, since I am buying a SUV, I wanted one with more room.

In the end, I do say QQ have their followers and rightly so, I also paid extra $500 to have my leather wrapping upgraded and I will say it was the best add on I made, makes the FXT look and feel much better.

Just my own opinion.

Agreed. From an estimation over 10 yrs, the TCO for buying/maintaining a Forester vs Qashqai 1.2T could be around 20k.

I thought the $500 was just to change to another colour? I didn't know that the leather is different and better too.

I msg him, doesn't seem interested leh

Have to say he was my SE and i was not impressed, he did not honour the previously agreed and arranged delivery date and then tried to collect all the final payments before informing me the delivery was delayed. I had to tear the cheque up and throw him out of my office, not a very pleasant experience for either of us. So no idea where all his supporters come from...

When my friend asked me for a contact at MI (he is now also a Forester owner..) I referred him to another agent from a friend who bought an XV who he recommended and both found him to be good.

Moral of this story. Each to their own and caveat emptor.!

I got my SE contact (Timothy Png) from another forumer here. He is patient and not pushy. Prompt and polite in his whatsapp replies too. I got the car from him in the end. His number is 98432223.

Hi Forester owners,

Would like to check, the SE said the current stock will be locked to the buyer once you paid the booking and that car cannot be sold to anyone.

1. Anyone bought the car with 8 bids NG at how many bid you got the car.

2. Anyone experience after 8 bids still never get the car and SE asking for top up before you get the car.

Thanks! And have a nice day!

I bought with 8 bids NG and i got it at the first bidding...

Was he rude? Replies are short as they can be tied up with paperwork for new bidding or new cars collection. When he is serving a customer, he tends not to reply or take calls too to show respect to the customer.

He's the third SE I contacted. The first 2 took a few hours to get back to me whenever I ask something. One of them even went for a smoking break while claiming to go and check trade in price for my car with his used car dealer when I was at the showroom.

A number of car owners recommended Andy in Forester Facebook too. Maybe you can try him out and update others here.

I got it on first bidding too with 8NG. 2 of my friends also same thing. I guessed MI already has good profit margin at 8NG.

Will be similar to what u see in the QQ. It comes with 3 years warranty so any issues if arise I can get them to rectify. I'm not sure original black leather how Long was the warranty...

Icarus, Swaku,

Thanks for your reply.

I booked Silver NA. Last friday. Hope to join your fleet soon.

All the best! After that can join the forester whatsapp group to get updates from fellow owners on poisons, issues and solutions, etc. There should be 2 groups and one of them got thousands of messages per day, if you can handle it. I can't and quit after a day. Ha...

He don't answer mending his phone when he is serving me..

His car collection is the most detail for all my car purchase experience.
