Just and update to my earlier post below.

I got an extra brand new set of the 4 pcs mud guard. (or splash guads) which I'm letting go at $40 (TB price converted to Sing $ and $10 for shipping fee). It comes with the necessary screws needed for DIY installation. If anyone interested can pm me and self collect at my place. Pls note i'm not making any profit on this and if you can get  them cheaper at group buys, I will appreciate if u do not compare prices. ;)

Just to share not all accessories work well.

1) mud flaps -> fits perfectly for all foresters 2013-2016.

2) fuse box cover -> can't close properly..

3) inner and outer door sills -> fits poorly...

4) Boot inner protector -> fits ok...

5) boot out protector -> fits perfectly.

Just for sharing, i just bought a bunch of accessories off TB for my fxt.

Basically, i bought

4 pcs mud flaps,

Some small compartment thing to replace the fuse box cover

Boot inner and outer protector (dunno what to call it...)

All cheap stuff but end up paying $200+ sing for them. Hopefully they fit well..

Yes, moderate your explanations about TB product fit. I too have found poor fit for TB door sill metal covers for my Legacy BN9, though I've mostly had okay luck with TB.

I think it all depends on the luck for the parts you received. My fuse box cover fit nicely.

Your fuse box cannot close properly due to the camera wires that's sticking at the back.. Ask accessories shop to tie them down properly will do

Hmm, lazy haa. The tb fuse box quality asp look a bit inferior to original one. I dumped it Liao....

Thanks bro. The mud guards fitted nicely. ð

Glad that u like it. Unfortunately, I realised that those metal accessories like door sills are harder to get exact fit.

My 3 mth old FXT front right speaker grill on the dash popped out at the corner nearest to driver so it is not flushed with the dash. I pressed it in but it comes out after a minute or two. I reckon its loosely fixed to begin with. Any one has it?

That is the problem for locally fit items to reduce the OMV.

No proper QC control when fit locally. If come out from a proper production line, everything will need to go through QC check.

Hi All

My scuff plate also from Tao Bao, Sad to say the curve of the metal plate don't sit properly and there isn't a surface to surface full contact. End up it just pop up and drop off.

Yup same here. Threw all those crap away. waste time and money..

FNA FC Report.

Trip travelled : 316.5KM

Fuel Pumped: 37.969 Ltr

Fuel used : Ron95 SPC

Driving patten: Neighbourhood drive [ i ] mode.

result : 316.5Km/ 37.969Ltr = 8.40ltr/KM

[:)] I think FC is reasonable for a AWD.

It is km/litre

Agree.

Can be better if have less stop/go traffic on your route e.g. red lights and traffic jams.

Also, if your car already went thru 10k servicing - some people report FC improve after that.

Other things can try to improve further

- correct cold tire pressure as per label on door frame

- get used to the CVT to know how much accelerator to step when - usually move off from stationary, initially just step sufficient to get car rolling and CVT chain to pull properly, then after that, can step harder to accelerate more

- otherwise, if just mash down accelerator when car is just moving off from standstill, most of the petrol is wasted as engine will rev high but not much movement

I will share my fxt fc as well ;)

1) 380km with 38.5L esso 8000

Result is 9.87km/L

All in i mode, driving around Tampines Neighbourhood and Changi business park area with revs below 2.5k.

2) 530km with 47L esso 8000

Result is 11.28km/L

50/50 city and hw driving rev below 3k

Both scenarios either 1-2 Passengers with myself, boot 40% full. Tired pump 230kpa all round.

Yup agreed that knowing the cvt characteristics help a lot in improving fc. I've been driving cvt cars for more than a year and that experience helps in getting reasonably good fc. Edited by mrhan1982
