if your is the window + side mirror auto close. I can help you, I think i have you number if you are Black FNA with TB side CF door protector right?

 

If it is the speedlock then FNA cannot use the TB version.

Attended new owner workshop. During hands on session, the technician offered following advise. Kindly share your views.

 

1.Replacing original brake pads with STI pads will offer better braking experience. The only shortcoming of STI pads is excessive noise during first drive during the day, but it is only a minor nuisance that will last no more than a few mins.

 

2.ARB will make drive comfortable for rear seat passengers.

 

3.Paint protection is not really a bad idea as the original paint is not of exceptional quality and is water based.

 

4.Engine stop-start feature results in insignificant fuel savings but may reduce battery life. So better to turn it off.

 

5.S-drive mode is recommended for expressways and I-drive mode for heavy traffic situations. There is no difference as far as fuel consumption is concerned. S-mode during slope ascent is good for CVT.

 

6.Usage of engine braking during hill descent will cause CVT assembly to heat up. Recommended to use foot brake instead.

 

7. Placing car key remote near mobile phone will reduce battery life. It is recommended to purchase 3rd spare key as losing both keys will mean replacing multiple electronic parts.

1. Upgraded sport pads like sti will have some difference but not vfm ... not ssbh, no upsized rotor and calipers for more estate and ease to grip or dissipate heat .. all include in bbk upgrade.

 

2. Affirmative .. get wrx sti ones if sensitive butt to harshness and you go cusco and then whiteline which will be more effective in anti roll but will be harder aka harsher.

 

3. Coating wun help paint quality .. unless you include claying for smoothness ... coating simply seal original paint and hence to do asap

 

4. Certainly .. else starter, battery, engine mountings will age faster .. can only get worse as car ages more and having aircon off in midday is no fun.

 

5. S mode will increases FC but a lot less than driving style .. it is for better response and hence associated FC increase.

 

6. A combi of both but slowly is the only way else brakes will also overheat. Believe expected occasional use for Singaporean down Genting is fine as compared to many hilly locations overseas.

 

8. Lol ... use of mobile is prevalent and if indeed the case, mazda or eurokar should provide this 3rd spare key.

anyone managed to install front camera at the front grille or bumper area, with video feed to the mfd or stock head unit?

 

Was told by workshop that it is quite common to install camera at the front instead of the proximity sensor,  but need to have special mfd cable which is hard to find and they don't have it.

Quite many of owners has cam on left side mirror for rear view parallel parking .. cables, cam and installation at class auto c/o Roy who was a forester kaki but moved to wrx sti.

 

You can certainly have front view instead but I frankly do not need.
